Takes a slider on the outside corner, Gimenez steals 2nd, and Wells bluffs the throw, eats it, looks at 3rd, 0-1
Slider low, inside middle, fouled off, 0-2.
Slider misses low and outside, easy take for Schneemann, never in the zone, but maybe he was trying to get him to take that one backdoor.
Sinker above middle, Cabrera ranges way back to his right, calls for it, and then discombobultes himself not knowing where the tarp was, bumping it, it falls fair.
It's not just the mistakes, it's non-championship things like that that give the other team extra swings, extra runners, extra bases. Might not cost them here, but it adds up and adds pitches. And eventually runs. You can't call off Verdugo there, unless you're SURE.
Got away with it, Schneedmann rolls a slider near middle down 1st, right to DJ, picks it up, steps on 1st. PHEW!!
