Soto takes a sinker 4-5 inches outside near the top, 1-0
Slider stays 3 inches off the outside corner, 2-0
Sinker above the zone, lined hard to right with topspin, it sinks fast and he misplays, bounces behind, but not far enough away for Soto to risk trying for 2nd.

The bad news is that as I expected, the Yanks did not call up Dominguez. The good news is that with Rizzo back, for good or bad, the entire gang has been called back together with the arrival of Rizzo, at least in the lineup. And Effross is back, but he's coming off TJ surgery, so his command will likely be not all the way back. Why did you expect no callup for Dominguez? The Yankees seem to be committed to make sure Dominquez maintains is ROY eligibility for 2025. |

Slider well low/away, Judge doesn't chase. 1-2
Curve drops low and just outside, 2-2.
Got another mistake, waist high FB on the corner away, but fouled it off.
Awkward swing on a sinker inside, spoils it.
Slider outside makes it 3-2.
Judge takes his timeout on the full count.
Soto goes, and apparently Judge was surprised, and stares at a slider that was hittable, outer 3rd, below the waist for the ꓘ, and Soto was thrown out by plenty, his slide not even reaching 2nd as he feebly attempted to popup slide short and dodge the tag. It didn't work.
Top 2, 0-0.
16 pitches for Mikolas in the 1st.

1st pitch FB in the drop the bat happy zone, high fly to right, Soto has no idea where it's going, comes in a step or two, tries to retreat in a hurry, but it lands behind him on the track, goes for a leadoff double.

Walker takes a FB well outside, 1-0
Takes a slider on the back door for a strike.
Change about 8-10 inches outside, Walker nubs a soft liner off the end of the bat over 1st, lands just fair for a hit, Donovan scores, and Soto throws behind Walker trying to pick him off, but he gets back, 1-0 Cards.
