Takes a curve in the zone down and in, surprised him a bit, 1-2

FB misses just up and away, Cole wanted that one, but at least it was a legit ball this time, 0%.
Slider misses the back door, 2-1
Change misses below the corner away, 3-1
FB in the zone up and in at 96, foul tipped, 3-2
Guesses FB by count and location, takes a curve dropping into the zone up and away, fooled him for the ꓘ, 2 down.

Swanson gets a hanging slider above and inside middle, fouls it straight back. another bad slider by Cle.
Very slow curve almost drops into the zone up and away, just missed, 1-1
Fb HITS THE HIGH OUTSIDE CORNER, not called AGAIN, 60% on Gameday, bad call.
Fb tips the outside corner thigh high at 97, 10% strike IS called a strike, 2-2
Curve above the knees in the middle, pulled foul off 3rd.

Big arm action cutter, Swanson thinks it's a FB, is early and under it for the K, inning over.
Cole strikes out the side on 16 pitches, and is at 85 through 5.
Top 6, 2-1 Cubs
Wells, Stanton and Chisholm for the Yanks in the 6th.

Takes a sinker just outside at the knees, didn't miss by much, but it missed, ball 1.
Cutter backs well outside, 2-0
That cutter bits and hits the back door thigh high, 2-1
Tries to check on a change diving low/away, can't, 2-2, and oboy, he absolutely DID check in time on the side view, bad call again.
Cutter down the middle, rolled over to Bellinger at 1st, flips to Taillon, 1 down.

Stanton takes a sinker low, 1-0
Takes a cutter low/away, doesn't chase, 2-0
Sinker barely on the corner inside, Stanton turns on it and pulls it hard but foul off 3rd, 2-1
Takes his timeout.
FB runs inside and up by about 3-4 inches, taken, 3-1
Cutter down the middle, thigh high, misses under by a little, hits a high fly to fairly deep center, Crow-Armstrong goes back, has time...and LOSES IT IN THE SUN, it lands right behind him, Stanton gets a very lucky 1 out double.

That one was inside, but a curve down and in, takes it for ball 2.
Bounces a curve over home, chases it for the K, Amaya throws to 1st to complete the 2nd out.

Rizzo up and one of his soft singles here probably doesn't score Stanton.
Well, now it will. Because Rizzo calls a balk because Taillon never came set. The ump agrees, and gives Stanton 3rd base.
But he doesn't take advantage, Cutter inside ties him up, rolls it over to Bellinger near the bag at 1st, takes it to the base, inning over.
Yanks now 1-7 with RISP and refuse the gift double to Stanton.
Bottom 6, 2-1 Cubs.
16 pitches for Taillon in the 6th, and 97 total through 6.
3-4-5 for the Cubs in their 6th; Suzuki, Bellinger and Tauchman.
