This is not for today's game, it is for tomorrow's (game 145 I assume). In 2001 this community (than part of the now departed fanhome) lost one of its most valued members Dennis Gomes - Trane. An awesome poster he worked in the Twin Towers and was killed in the attack on them. One of the few who did game threads then which is why we celebrate one for him every 9/11. We still remember you brother, probably arguing with Mr. G. edition.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/memorial/people/3896.html

Thanks for stopping by, Russ and not letting us forget about this thread.
When I was in NYC this summer, we to the memorial and I thought about Trane, while looking at the names on the one reflecting pool.
RIP Trane

I still haven’t hear from Domeplease, I know it’s most likely that he’s comatose or has passed. He wanted to see #28 this year. He may have a better seat than he ever imagined. Are there others that have passed away?… I can’t recall them, or don’t know of their passing. Surely some of our former octogenarians would be candidates if we knew of their passing…

G was in bad health at the time and strongly suspected he would die soon…

I messaged Lauren as well and she told me the same. That Mo had not answered her email. Perhaps if she knows her full name we can search and see if there is any news of her?

We know that with his disease it is typical that there would be a period where he would lie comatose prior to death. Get your prostate checked regularly and get immediate surgery if the disease is found to be present. My # is 1.7, which is excellent, especially for an old war horse like me. Lower the better…

I think he said he was quite old then
