Big test here, the clutch veteran Turner up with bases loaded, 2 down.
FB misses well outside, above the knees, 1-0
FB well outside, waist high, 2-0
Fb well high, 3-0 and Turner in trouble
Gil bends down loses sight of Robles so he takes off for home on a 3-0 count, he throws home, and they get him!!!
Very very weird thing to do in that spot, very poor decision with Turner up on the count 3-0, an ENORMOUS gift for Gil, getting him out of the jam.
Just a terrible decision by Robles with Gil on the ropes.
Possibly worse than any TOOTBLAN by the Yanks this season, because of the situation, and the fact that Gil had already walked two and hit a batter.
Top 2, 2-0 Yanks.
24 pitches for Gil in the 1st.
Rizzo, Cabrera and Verdugo for the Yanks in the 2nd inning.

FB misses outside just below the knees, taken, 1-1
Swings under the FB moving just outside, above the waist, 1-2
Slider stays thigh high inside middle, but Rizzo too quick pulls it sharply foul.
Sweeper outside, Rizzo chases and misses under it for the K, 1 down.

Cabrera goes after a 1st pitch FB on the corner away, below the top, fouls it off.
Swings over a change tailing to the low outside corner, 0-2
Lays off the FB well high, outer 3rd, 1-2
And chases almost the exact same pitch a bit further outside, swings UNDER, K. 2 down.

Verdugo takes a sinker with sharp tail to the corner away, 0-1
Lays off the FB rising above the outside corner, 1-1
Yanks the FB inside just a bit, 2-1
FB waist high, outside corner, stays level, slaps it to left for a 2 out single, and that's what you have to try to do with Woo's FB, if you HR angle swing, it's misses and flyballs and foul balls.

Slider just outside, Torres misses under, pops it to right center, but it falls in front of Raley for a hit, Verdugo stops at 2nd with 2 down.
Wise move with Soto on deck.
