FB inside middle, hits it hard to center, but Rodriguez is back there, catches, 1 down. I'm about 3-4 pitches behind again.

Splitter misses well low, outer half, lays off, 2-2
FB at the top in the middle at 96.4, spoiled.
Slider winds up waist high, middle-out, but Judge misses, fouling it off. Missed a hanger, I think.
Splitter to the knees, inner 3rd, also spoiled
Splitter tails in on his hands, swing and a miss, K, 2 down.

Wells takes a FB outside, ball 1. Just saw the hanging slider Judge missed. Too bad.
FB outside, closer to the top of the zone, 2-0
FB waist high, outer 3rd, foul tipped, 2-1
Soto goes, FB misses up and away, Soto's safe with his 6th steal of the season. 3-1. Didn't even throw.
Slider in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, Wells caught looking for something else, 3-2
FB down the middle at 96, blown right by Wells for the K, inning over. Don't know how he missed that one, will see it in two pitches. Inning over.
Bottom 1st, 0-0.
25 pitches in the first for Miller. Just saw the Wells K, simply swung under the cookie.

With Robles hurt last night, they put the red-hot Rodriguez into the leadoff spot.
FB low and outside, ball 1
Swings over a FB at the bottom 1-1
Change bounced, taken, 2-1
FB misses high, 3-1
Cutter inside, fouled off, 3-2
FB at the bottom in the middle, fouled.
Cutter on the outer 3rd, above the waist, Rodriguez misses under it, K, 1 down.

Raleigh gets a 1st pitch FB below middle, is late and under, pops foul back of 1st, Rizzo goes back and catches. No idea what it looked like, yet. Just saw the Rodriguez K.

Nestor still looks like he's on a mission after that sort demotion to the bullpen. Well, he's pitched very well lately, no matter the role. As he did early in the season, maybe better. |

Splitter thigh high, outside corner rolls it over to Turner at 1st, flips to Miller, 1 down. Jazz is slumping now.

In other East games today: the Giants and O’s play the middle game at Camden Yards. The starters were Birdsong for the Giants and Kremer for the O’s, and the Giants rallied from 2-1 down to win 5-3, lowering the Yanks magic number to 7 for the East title

I guess it's a battle between him and Schmidt for the 4th spot, with Cole-Rodon-Gil being the top 3. Schmidt would be an interesting swing and miss guy coming out of the pen. |

FB waist high, outside middle taken. Have no idea what he was looking for on 2-0.
FB misses 2 inches inside, 3-1
Takes ANOTHER FB below and outside middle, and having passed up two hittable FB, he gets the splitter now.
Nope; FB outer 3rd, fouled off.
