Gil demonstrates that the only thing he will bring to the playoff is as a starter. But with his consistent lack of control He is the sixth starter. He sure can’t come in for relief. Add to that is he just stood on the mound when the double was hit.

Slider bounced, gets away from Langeliers, Stanton K's, and Langeliers has all the time he needs to throw to Soderstrom to complete the K, 1 down.

Twins, Royals, Orioles… pretenders falling everywhere… As I said all season the stats always favored the Yankees. It looked gloom for a while there, but once the Yankees needed to win this month it happened and they are going to win this division by being 5 or more games ahead going into the last week. |

Slider outside corner, he lunges a bit, bounces one to short, Wilson goes down to a knee to glove it, slips getting up, and his throw is late and offline, scored an infield hit because of the slip.
