I want to do a series preview, but there is no series to preview yet; opponent not known.

OK, notifications checked, I'm going to have dinner.
I'll drop in a few times before the Yanks play again, and I'll probably give an ALDS preview when we find out who won the Astros-Tigers Wild Card series, but for now, enjoy the mini-vacation, and I'll be back with you for the game preview for the 1st game on Saturday, which I might combine with the series preview.

OMG are they trying to get Holmes the blown save record? It may not seem like it, but Clay Holmes notches his 30th save on the season, which is good for 7th in MLB and 4th in the AL. And most of them weren't as easy as today's.  |

Good to end the season with a win. Many thanks to qwik for the play-by-play. Since I don't get Yes, I followed many Yankee games on this board. Or, like today's game, didn't follow the game until about 30 minutes ago and just read the thread as if the game were still going on. Kinda like Tivo in written form!

For some reason I had in my head that the O's are the 3rd seed because of their record, when they can't be because the Astros won a division and Baltimore is top Wild Card. KC and Baltimore it is. |
