According to MLB processing the 3-1 to Berti 0.148 feet inside. That equals about 1.78 inches. MLB grades their umpires with a 2 inch margin of error, so oddly that 3-1 pitch will be judged as a correct call. I personally think 2 inches is too much of a margin for MLB level (and honestly, the inside corner should be a plate umpire's most accurate. And that is why we need the robots.

Thought it was inside, still think so. Almost the same as the pitch before. Good evening, nw. Good evening. It was clearly inside, a 0% strike. Unfortunately, MLB is still using that 2" margin of error when grading umpires. I think it should be 1" on the inside and outside and 2" up and down because that can change from pitch to pitch based on batter's "natural stance".

Torres...
Swings over a cutter that Gameday calls a 92 FB outside middle, 0-1 FB up and away, taken, 1-1 Cutter above middle, fouled off, 1-2 Curve hangs up and away, 2-2 Change 6 inches outside, lays off, 3-2 Slider backs way up and away as he gets under it, ball 4. ANOTHER excellent at bat by Torres out of the leadoff spot to start an inning.

No wonder they always grade out so well, you have to be Angel Hernandez bad to get a poor score.

Cutter outside middle, taken for a strike, 0-1 on Soto FB outside, 1-1 FB above the zone in the middle, he chases again, fouls it, 1-2 Makeup call! Change in the middle, above the knees, 90% strike on Gameday, Soto gets more than a Soto call, 2-2. Slider knee high, middle, swung over for the K, Perez, applauds after he cataches the pitch.
