And this is the worst of the 7 remaining teams. Imagine playing any of the others? some day cashman will realize that offense including hitting is important, not just pitching and home runs. Well probably he wont, hopefully the next gm will.

I might be wrong, but I think Schmidt is the second best pitcher after Cole. And Cole didn't have very good stuff.

The fear associated with Rodon realized. Looks great for a couple innings then completely goes to pieces. Not what you want at that salary 4-1 geez. Quite a hill to climb. When have we ever been confident with Rodon? Never, really, but had to hope for the best. He's pitched well at home, not tonight...

Cutter thigh high, corner away, rolled over to 2nd, they get the force at 2nd, too slow to turn two.
Geez, Alex, if you're going to swing on that 1-0 after a walk, at least go to left with that!

The Indians are probably a better matchup for the Yanks because of their weak rotation. I concur. The Royals are a pesky team, but they have more holes than the Yankees do. Yankees aren't out of this at all.

I just left to go pick up stuff from the pharmacy when it was 1-0. Accidentally saw that it was 4-1 so I fast forwarded. Yuck. Welcome to the board?

With as many grounders as Verdugo hits to the right side, I would have Volpe stealing second early in the count, and then a roll over will get him to third.

Curve on the low inside corner, Berti takes it for a strike. FB high, outer half, 94, 1-1 FB inside near the top, 2-1 Pulls the string on the change, Berti way in front, swings over, 2-2 FB inner 3rd at 95.5 waist high, fouled off. Change hangs outer 3rd waist high, lined to left, but close to Pham, who backs a couple of steps, catches, 2 down.
