Manzardo takes a sinker at the knees, 0-1 Takes a sinker bounced on home, 0-2 Sinker tails almost inside, and he tries to drop the bat on it, tops it softly to Rizzo off 1st, he flips to Hill, inning over.
Bottom 6, 3-2 Yanks. Hill gets through his inning in good form, only lucky thing was the at-em liner by Kwan to Chisholm. 14 pitches, but I don't think there's anyway he leaves him in for Ramirez.
6-7-8 for the Yanks in their 6th inning: Chisholm, Volpe and Rizzo.

I don't think they have a 3rd catcher on the roster. So when he pinch hit with Fry, and took him out, he's out of catchers. Exactly. I understand you need runs, but you're leveraging 1 AB with a PH vs. multiple Hedges ABs the rest of the game. Hedges has a real argument for being the worst hitter in MLB over the last 5-6 years. Naylor isn't Yogi Berra, but he can give you SOME offense. Hedges is pretty much a bet zero. I give this a thumb-up, knowing full well we might both get karmic repayment from Hedges in the 8th.

Weaver isn't pitching more than an inning tonight so who pitches the 7th and 8th? Kahnle and ??? Maybe Cousins, assuming Kahnle can get through the 7th unscathed.

Sabrowski in to pitch the 6th. FB low in the zone, Jazz takes, 0-1 FB up and away, 1-1 on Chisholm.

So Verdugo is the only one who has gotten a hit with RISP for the Yanks. Nice if someone else could join the party.

Bounces a slider outside, 2-1 on Chisholm. FB misses 3-4 inches high, outer half, ball 3. A walk is an excellent result here, Jazz; do not chase.

OTOH, don't take a FB just below middle middle, Jazz. FB away, hit deep to left, Kwan tries to get back, can't hits behind him on the track, and gets a big leadoff double. Have to get him home any way they can.

Jazz just misses a HR, settles for lead off double.
