A smart manage would have taken him out after walking the lead off batter. A better GM would have had at least one more left handed reliever in the bullpen that can get guys out. |

holmes coming in to face fry again. gulp.
know boone wanted to see if he could get away from using his end guys but now he has a situation. plus this was cousin's 1st game back and hadn't pitched in a while.

Sinker waist high, outside corner, 10% strike is called on Kwan. 0-1 Exact same pitch, same spot, same 10% strike, 0-2 Bounces the slider over home, 1-2 Sinker near the top of the zone, spoiled. Slider at the knees in the middle, lined to right foe a single, Soto cuts it off, holds it to a single, but Rocchio gets to 3rd without a play. And THAT is why you challenge Rocchio on 3-1, Cousins. Boone goes to take out Cousins, giving him a 2nd try against Fry. Risky move by Boone, counting on lighting not striking twice in a row in the same matchup. 1st and 3rd, nobody out, Holmes in, Fry up with Ramirez on deck as the potential tying run. Let's see if Holmes has any stones at all. It was a perfect inning to bring in Holmes. Seventh inning, four-run lead. |

I guess Nestor could solve the lefty problem If they advance I feel like he wouldn't be stretched out to start.

Holmes doesn't really get many GIDP, Darling. He used to. Not so much lately.
Sinker way too low to get a chase, 2-1
Slider in the zone low/away, taken, 2-2
Slider into the top of the zone, and he takes it for strike 3. Fry caught by surprise by the pitch and the call. Big ꓘ by Holmes. If nothing else, Ramirez not up as the tying run.
