Leiter almost got taken yard. He's been trash the entire time here. Never should have gone back to him. He got lucky.

Maybe they should have started the inning with Mayza, it couldn't have been any worse. Boone should have started the inning with Holmes and no one on base. It was the right time to get him back in after last night. Could have rolled the dice with Stroman and a 4 run lead. |

Splitter at the very bottom, not called. In the middle, 5-10% on Gameday, 2-1. Marginal, but still...
Splitter tapped weakly to short, and Volpe must charge, has no shot at Naylor going to 3rd, throws out Rocchio, 1 down.

FWIW 5 of his 7 appearances in September were scoreless after a rough august. and what's he done in October? Nothing he wasn't not he roster till tonight and wasn't on it in the ALDS. |

I wonder if Boone will go to Weaver tonight. Maybe batter by batter with Leiter here, and Kahnle for the potential close? You got away with Leiter. I would have gone to Kahnle. It's a tough tactical spot all the way around. I don't think Kahnle has 6 outs. I don't think Boone wants to pitch Weaver again tonight. |

Takes a cutter outside middle for a strike.
Takes a splitter low. 1-1
Takes a splitter going outside, 2-1

Right and I think you only trust Stroman if its multiple runs and thats why Chi's point of using him up 6-2 is valid. |
