As a long time Yankee fan I know Mariano, Clase is no Mariano!

Slider on the inside corner, hammered down 1st, but right to J. Naylor, low throw to 2nd, but Rocchio scoops it up. 1st and 3rd, two down for Judge. Soto hit it quite hard but the wrong direction.
And they walk Judge to pitch to Chisholm, which, given how Jazz is going, is the right move.

Torres takes his timeout... Cutter outer 3rd, lined to center for a hit!! Volpe scores, Verdugo to 2nd, 8-6, Yanks!!! Soto up, and the pitching coach Willis goes to talk to Clase. Good job not trying to pull that one, Gleyber. Great professional swing. Reminds me of Lou Piniella, Roy White, Munson and Chambliss from the 1970s Yankees Champs. Young Rizzuto emulated Thurman and Pinella at that plate. Always thought up the middle and right field. Only pulled hanging breaking balls. Anything else was a mistake on my part.

A hit there from Jazz would have been huge.

Cutter down and in, fouled down, 0-1 Cutter inside corner and up in the zone, swing and a miss, 0-2 Takes the cutter out of the zone down and in at 98. Cutter inner 3rd, waist high, rolled over to Naylor at 1st, bad hop, but he plays it, flips to Clase, inning over.
Bottom 9, 8-6 Yanks. This inning will test Boone's judgment. 5-6-7 for the Guardians in their half of the 9th inning: Thomas and Noel, the combo that beat Weaver to tie it up last night, and then Gimenez.

Nail biting time. No clue if pitcher can hold the lead to deliver a win.
