Thomas tries to jump a 1st pitch FB above and outside middle, swung under, 0-1
Yanks a FB way low and outside, nifty backhand snatch by Wells, runner can't move, 1-1
Slider hanging above middle, big swing, pops it straight back and out of play, 1-2
FB 4-5 inches high, outside middle, he doesn't chase, 2-2
Change thigh high near middle...and Thomas must've thought it was the slider, because he just stared at it, ꓘ, inning over.
Not great, but could've been worse.
