Kaybli posted the JOMBOY version of this elsewhere, but I appreciate this raw version as well. Thread worthy? Yeah. Why not?…

Kaybli posted the JOMBOY version of this elsewhere, but I appreciate this raw version as well. Thread worthy? Yeah. Why not?… I felt the at-bat deserved it's own thread, because it's "Classic Soto". This is what baseball is all about...the pitcher and the hitter going one on one...and Juan Soto is such an emotional ballplayer, that he perfectly conveys his feelings to the camera, and the fans, on screen with his every move....You can just feel his "I've got this" attitude...and the way he nods, which I take as a nod to the pitcher, like "that was a good pitch, but I see where you're going with it...and sooner or later, I'll get you...in the meantime, I'll keep fouling off pitch after pitch until you make that one final mistake"...which he eventually did. Wow! What an at-bat!

I trust Soto more than Judge in big situations…

I trust Soto more than Judge in big situations… It appears that way, though Judge did come through in game 3 to tie the game before Weaver and Holmes caved...

I trust Soto more than Judge in big situations… It appears that way, though Judge did come through in game 3 to tie the game before Weaver and Holmes caved... It is not a knock on Judge, but simply that Soto - who is not 6' 7" - has fewer holes in his swing and is left-handed, giving him an advantage as most pitchers are right-handed. Also, Soto has the best strike zone recognition combined with putting the ball in play that we have seen on the Yankees in a long, long time.

Love the looks Soto gave to Gattis… challenging and intimidating him! He’s in complete control… he knows it and Gattis knows it!

Classic case of what have you done for me lately
Judge had a stretch of 100 games that looked like this ... Batted .376 .507 .838 1.344 45 HRs 105 RBIs 15 IBB
One of the greatest 100 game stretches in MLB History When Judge is hot nobody wants to pitch to him

Love the looks Soto gave to Gattis… challenging and intimidating him! He’s in complete control… he knows it and Gattis knows it! Juan Soto is a one man post-season wrecking crew! Not only a "game changer" but also a "series changer!" With the Astros ahead of the Nationals in the 2019 World Series, 3 games to 2, and game 6 tied, 2-2, remember what he did to Justin Verlander? The Stros never recovered!

It was damn good, but Reggie vs. Welch was better.

It was damn good, but Reggie vs. Welch was better. This was epic, even though Reggie came out on the short end of the stick! I loved the 1977-78 Yankees!

Welch came at Reggie like a man, whereas Gaddis tossed slurve after slurve to Soto.
