Ohtani...
Fouls off a cutter outside middle, big swing there, doesn't look hurt, but can't really tell.

Even for me a long term critic of the lack of Yankee hitting our inability to hit against good teams is amazing. We just can not hit. They beat two good teams to get here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk They didn't hit well in either series, it's been the same three hitters, Torres, Soto and Stanton. And that's it.

It looks like he got his hand in, but YOU CAN'T SEE THE HAND TOUCH HOME FROM THE VIEW YOU SAY SHOWS HE'S SAFE, SMOLTZ. No clear view means the original call was upheld. He's still out, Yanks hanging on by their fingernails. 1st and 2nd, 1 down, and they'll take out Leiter right here. Fine play by Leiter on his way out of this game. This is the reason I don't like the replay rules, even if it was in our favor this time. There is literally no place else for the runner's hand to go below Trevino's leg other than home plate. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Trevino's leg was literally on top of the runner's hand on the plate before there was a tag.

Aw come on!! FB at the knees in the middle is a 50-50 strike, not called, bad call, 1-1 Cutter on the outside corner, SMOLTZ pipes in to say that Ohtani didn't like the 90% strike being called a strike, 1-2 Slider low/away, taken, 2-2 FB misses just low, outer half, taken, 3-2 Same FB as the last one, maybe an inch low, he goes for it and fouls it. FB another inch or two lower and more outside, he chases for the K, 2 down. Betts is very tough, so it Freeman.

Ohtani just gave Nestor a big break by swinging at ball 4 and ball 5.

Very doubtful, but replay rule says you can't assume he touched home without seeing it clearly. What are you going to do, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ohtani is the only Dodger hitter that will swing at pitches out of the zone. If he ever masters some discipline, there’s no tellling how good he would be.
