Also the 1978 Yankees did it to the Dodgers as well!

Clarke Schmidt needs to step up with a big time performance tonight and we know what is needed from the offense.

The very definition of a "must win." We're not coming back from a 3-0 deficit.

You mean Dominguez and Trevino for Verdugo and Wells? I'd do Dominguez just for an offensive spark. I wouldn't do Trevino as he can't throw anybody out and at least Wells has the potential to run into one.

Maybe not a bad move since our backs are against the wall and I think Dominguez hits RH pitching. If that move were made, and Judge wasn't struggling so much I might consider Judge in LF and JD in C. JD seems a lot more comfortable in CF. Judge has only played a handful of games in LF but seems to be able to handle position switches better than the other two OFers. With Judge struggling with the bat I wouldn't do it though. He needs to get his head straight and that would just add another layer of complexity. So starting JD means the OF defense will not be as good.

It's a shame you can't have a Designated Fielder lol. Wells, you catch all game but Jasson will bat for you.

We don't need panic moves. We need our players to play and our stars to star. The only thing I would do is have Schmidt on a short leash.

The last time the Yankees beat the Dodgers in the World Series, in 1978, they also lost the first 2 games in Los Angeles. For those who don't remember, or weren't around to watch that World Series, here are some of the highlights!

But Verdugo is doing nothing offensively. I think the discussion is all theoretical anyway because Boone, Cashman, and company would never do it.

So starting JD means the OF defense will not be as good. You never know. Having Judge think about left field might take his mind off his hitting for a half inning. It could reduce any unnecessary analysis; just see the ball in the zone and hit it. Dominguez doesn’t lack confidence. Verdugo can always come in the later innings for defense.

There's a movement on social media calling for everyone at the Stadium today to give Judge a standing ovation on his first AB, a la what Phillies fans did to Trea Turner when he was struggling, to show support. https://www.instagram.com/p/DBnV7vMsgt6 I like it!
