yesterday i suggested trevino for wells. in addition to 4-41 in the PS, wells hit .111 in september. and trevino actually hits RH'ers better than LH'ers. you sacrifice better control of the running game and you hate to take well's LH bat out in YS. but slim chance of them doing it.
even slimmer is dominguez. he hasn't had an AB in a month and even then was hitting .179. more important is the fielding. verdugo has made some great plays and in the PS where every out is huge, you can't afford to give one away on a misplay especially one game away from elimination.
flip-flopping judge & soto is a reasonable idea. maybe judge sees better pitches. might take a little pressure off him putting him back in a position that he's very comfortable with. also like the idea of going R-L-R with soto, judge & stanton.
other than an elimination game, this is as "must win" as it gets. schmidt needs to bring his A game even if only for 4 innings. buehler overall has been up & down though i expect him to bring it tonite. we win, we're back in it.

There's a movement on social media calling for everyone at the Stadium today to give Judge a standing ovation on his first AB, a la what Phillies fans did to Trea Turner when he was struggling, to show support. I like it!
That would be awesome, kaybli.
Questions for the fans that are thinking about booing Judge. How is that helpful? What kind of message might that send to Soto about re-signing with the Yankees when the likely 2024 AL MVP gets booed in his own home stadium?

I'm going to hope they can win tonight and just go one game at a time.
I don't want Trevino over Wells. At this point I don't see Dominguez over Dugp. Now that Jazz is hitting OC is needed to run and emergency. If it wasn't must win Game 3 I would start Dominguez over Judge in CF but now we just have to hope Judge overcomes the pressure to perform and breaks out.
If we see Stroman or Cortes again IT'S OVER.

I have no choice, because I live in a basement apartment, so my TV can't get any antenna signals...and I can't afford any streaming packages. I just click off the popups, read qwik's play by play, then see the action play out on the screen 2 minutes later. LOL |

We win tonight because a buddy bought me an ugly Johnny-O Yankee hoodie for my B-day back in July. I've yet to wear it, but despite the fact it is pretty ugly, I will pull it out tonight because I believe it might be lucky.
