Running in slow motion out there!

Stanton took extra batting practice today, doing nothing but hitting balls to the opposite field. I believe he uses this method to get his timing down and keep his body from pulling away. I wish Judge would try the same thing.

This is the reason I don't like the replay rules, even if it was in our favor this time. There is literally no place else for the runner's hand to go below Trevino's leg other than home plate. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Trevino's leg was literally on top of the runner's hand on the plate before there was a tag. Unless it got pinned by the leg before home. Very doubtful, but replay rule says you can't assume he touched home without seeing it clearly. What are you going to do, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Reminds me of the NHL when they review a possible goal and you know the puck crossed the line but you can't see it because of the goalie's glove blocks the view.

When I heard Stanton was trying to score, I knew it was bad…

Volpe takes a cutter on the outer 3rd, waist high, 0-1 Curve up and in makes him lean out of the way, 1-1 Cutter on the outside corner, and fouls it off. FB up and away, taken, 2-2 FB at the top near middle, but Volpe misses, fouls it off. Slider away, lined to left for a hit, he sends Stanton even though Teoscar has the ball before he rounds 3rd, and he's thrown out at home! I'm yelling DON'T SEND HIM!! HE'S OUT!!! DON'T SEND HIM!! HE'S OUT!! But Rojas sent him, maybe because Trevino was on deck.
Well Stanton's out, and the inning is over and the Dodgers beat them on defense that inning, Mookie taking the hit away, and Teoscar throwing the very slow Stanton out at home. All four hitters hit the ball well that inning, but morale victories aren't nearly good enough right now.
Top 5, 3-0 Dodgers. Freeman, T. Hernandez and Muncy for the Dodgers in the 5th.

The worst part is that you could see that out coming about 90 feet away. I'm all for taking chances but that wasn't a "we need a perfect throw", it was "as long as the outfielder takes the time to make a good throw, he's got the out."

I guess with Roberts throwing a bullpen game tomorrow, he's essentially saying he'd rather see the Dodgers celebrate the championship in L.A. rather than in N.Y. Not at all…..They’ve been throwing bullpen games all season and have won most of them. Dodgers bullpen is stellar. They have no choice but to throw bullpen games because the only have 3 starters….then rest are out hurt.

There is simply no reason for the Yankees to have a coach at 3rd.

Because they're desperate for a run...hoping for a bad throw, because common sense should tell him even a turtle with a rotator cuff injury could beat Stanton in a race.
