Holder was captured by a wild band of Red Sox players after the game. They have him hung by the collar on the back of the clubhouse door and are shooting him with paint balls...He keeps saying, please...may I have another???

I wonder if one team can legally charge another team with rape? Because I felt raped just watching that half inning...

I was wrong on so many levels defending Boone. This past month proved that

I am impartial. I don't think he adds anything Girardi didn't do and I don't think he lacks anything Girardi did. I'm of the mind that these guys just need to not be totally inept (Ausmus, Dusty Baker level) and there really isn't much distinction. I don't get to watch nearly as many games as I used to, but I have seen him make some absolutely awful moves, like Didi bunting with guys on first and second with none out and giving away a free out on top of taking the bat out of Stanton's hands to give the Rays much more favorable matchup. There's no excuse for any major league manager to make a move like that. I've watched most to nearly all of the games....I have a mental count of the number of games that ended up losses that involved poor decisions by Boone....that count is at 5 games, and possibly 6...…….I have not seen a Yankee manager ever...and I am saying back to Joe McCarthy...have not seen a Yankee manager ever make so many poor manager decisions.....it has become beyond acceptance, but I try not to beat on it too much, because I know that gets tiresome....I wonder now what Cashman will do...…..I bet the next hire will have a body of work in managing a club..... I actually agreed with that decision, the problem was not the decision but our inability to hit a sac fly after it was made. Given our hideous inability to get hits with men in scoring position setting up the win that way makes sense to me. When you only have a 1/3 chance of getting on base anyhow (ignoring a dp possibility) and only need one run, moving runners over makes sense to me.
I am old school baseball of course. I like bunts, hits and runs, squeezes etc. They just are not part of the modern philosophy.

Its obvious after the fact that a decision did not work out. But the alternative might not have worked out either.

Its obvious after the fact that a decision did not work out. But the alternative might not have worked out either. that entire series, Kevin Cash out-managed Boone like a man handling a boy.....Boone gave him opportunities that Cash did not miss....the sacrifice to open first base with the Yankees hottest hitter, Stanton coming up, was bone-headed, and quickly dealt with by Cash with an intentional pass to Stanton...and no doubt a muttered "thank you"...of course the Yankees did not score…...Boone also gave Cash openings by having 8 & 9, place weak hitters that were exploited repeatedly by Cash as his pitchers moved through the lineup...I remember Andujar being pitched around two or three times so that they could face Higgy and Wade..... If you missed watching that series, you missed the biggest fact of this years team.....

Not very happy with Boone right now. Leaving starting pitchers in too long and no Andujar in the season ending game are the worst of it. Boone has gone from Yankee hero as a player to Yankee goat as a manager.

It was strange watching the Yankees, who have like five closers in the pen chomping at the bit to get in having to cool their heels because Boone wouldn’t/couldn’t commit to them despite the obvious melt down of his starters in two straight games. While Cora never hesitated bringing in even Sale for an inning even up by three in the eighth, Boone couldn’t press the button when it was obvious CC needed bailing. He did the same curious thing the night before with Sevi when it was obvious he had nothing after two. Boone might yet become a good manager, but he was horrible during the ALDS.

Agree with both of you guys. He looked a lot like someone who has zero experience managing. He benched Andujar for a veteran. Unfortunately we couldn’t do the same with Boone.

Hiring Boone was such a strange choice, given the lack of experience, one of the worst decisions Cashman has made as GM.

My biggest disappointment with Boone is he couldn't convince Stanton to l: hit in the clutch 2: not watch 3 strikes whiz by him without swinging and 3: if you are going to make an out at least try to make it a productive one(moving runners, etc.). If he doesn't improve next year I believe he will go down as one of our worst signings ever. I do agree about Boone and his curious use of Andujar and our bullpen. I know it wasn't considered but I would have made last night a "bullpen night". I had no faith in CC but we didn't hit in the clutch when we needed to anyway. Good season though.

Hiring Boone was such a strange choice, given the lack of experience, one of the worst decisions Cashman has made as GM. WE agree. If he is our manager for 2019, means = Once again we will not get to the WS.

Going forward we should arrange for Boone to eat an entire box of Ex-Lax about an hour before game time so he'll be preoccupied. Don't let him wait until 8 minutes before the game, either. Make sure he's "properly prepared". Warmed up, if you will...We could probably find a better manager in the stands to fill in while Boone craps his guts out...Maybe that would make a nice little promo..."Tonight's Ex-Lax winning substitute manager drawing winner is...Mr. Kay Bli...Mr. Bli? Where are you sitting? There you are! Come on down!!! Is it all right if we call you Kay? Well Kay, if you help the Yankees win tonight, you'll get to spin the big wheel and you could win up to $20,000, then you can decide whether to keep the money or trade it for one of our curtains, or a shiny box that could be a zonk, or could contain"... Okay, I think you see where I'm going with this. Since there is no applause, I'll stop there. But I have other ideas, believe...I have more...

My post total is fast approaching Pete Rose's all time hits record, and in terms of what that will mean to the world, it will be about equal...

We were in a clothing store the other day. I saw a sign that said "Dressing Rooms". I asked the sales lady there if they had any turkey or salad dressings. She said no. What a flop that idea is going to be in THAT store...
Ruth said she wanted to sit down for minute, so naturally I pointed out the rest rooms assuming there would be some nice, comfy chairs in there...
