lol, this guy has no business being in the big leagues, let alone starting for a team fighting for the division. it's almost a twilight zone as far as understanding the lineups...it made sense to call up another OF'er, but maybe just as a backup....is Gardner hurt?.....most callups sit for days before getting into a game....Robinson plays right away....we seem to make it easy for opposing pitchers to find the soft spot in our lineups...……. His ass should be glued to the bench. The Yanks had yesterday off, Gardner and Andujar should have started both of these games.

These players apparently need rest according to statistics. As they continue to rest players in this way it becomes a manifest destiny that players will continue require more and more rest. Once again...I don’t get it. They get days off written into the schedule. They get rained out. But to ask everyone to play two games is like asking for the moon...

A couple of sharp line drives caught at the corners today have helped Keller’s line score look like he’s dominating. Then a line drive ticks off the topp of Bird’s glove and makes a struggling Severino pay...
That’s baseball some days...

One more quick comment on this, and then I promise to shut down. In an ideal world, I would have like to see Ryan McBroom up. He’s hitting .297 in AAA, playing RF. He has some pop in his bat. At age 26, why worry about burning an option? We’re never going to carry him on the 25 man over the long term. So unless he has no options remaining, i’d rather have seen him in the line up for one game than the sub-skilled Robinson. That said, McBroom is not as skilled defensively... But it would have made kaybli’s day... (:

I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of Trey Amberguery <sp?>, But it’s too soon, and he’s only at .253 in AAA right now. I think he could contend for a batting title some day and will add a bit more power in the future.

Severino does not look sharp today, again. Seems like maybe his 4th or 5th start in a row. Other than Judge being injured that’s the biggest concern the Yankees should have.

The look of confidence is now gone...I still am not happy about the Yanks giving him an extended break at the all-star break...I understood the reasoning, but he seems to thrive on work...
Keep looking for arms, Brian. Don’t let this season do down the toilet...

Severino hasn't been pitching to the inside corner. Nearly everything is away. He also rarely throws his change up anymore and has lost command of it. He's back to a two pitch pitcher, who's trying to live on the outside half like he's at the tail end of his career. When's the last time he's sawed someone inside, breaking his bat?
