Does anyone know what would happen if someone was injured and couldn't play the field right now with no bench left? Hadn't really thought about it before. They would have to substitute a pitcher. Fun stuff.

A pitcher would have to play the position... Interesting. That didn't even occur to me. The last time I believe this happened was in 2014 when Andrew Cashner was forced into emergency service as a left fielder. In theory, if all of the pitchers were used up and there were no players left the game would have to be forfeited to the opponent. The only forfeited games i’ve Ever heard of (5 in total) were 4 instance where the crowd was out of control and a famous incident when Earl Weaver flipped out even worse than usual...
