Nice comeback win, but this is definitely not a team playing its best baseball.

It wasn't pretty or easy, but the Yankees needed this win.

Greg Bird's OPS up to .801!

Bird is going to be important for this team moving forward, even when Judge comes back. He needs to be that power lefty that the team desperately needs. Sure, Hicks and Didi can do it at times, but Bird needs to be “the guy”

They say a split double header is similar to a tie. It’s like kissing your sister. Well, when it’s against the Royals this year, now it’s like your sister has horrible breath, green teeth, and a wandering tongue...and maybe even secret man parts...

what's everyone think of Bird bunting for a hit in the first game and a few games ago? Think they'll stop shifting?

Really wanted Gallegos to work out, but happy to see Sherve go. Maybe Kahnle is coming soon?

We won n I'm still pissed with how they're playing This was a really messy two games. Some very questionable managerial decisions as well. Shane Robinson and Tyler Wade can play both games, but Andujar and Gardner cannot start both when both Judge and Sanchez are out. Not sure what to think of Robertson he seems more homer prone this year. Those games were way more competitive than they should have been.

All the rest earlier in season was so these guys could be fresh for now . Andujar apparently is a little banged up... Hence why he didn't play Friday until Judge got hurt... But he should still be playing both games today at DH in my opinion his bat is too big to be out of line up we need all the wins we can get at the moment we need to start playing like we're coming up on end of the season... Because we are out the best players in the line up every fucking game isn't that why we rested them early in the season??? I also think it would be more beneficial to play as much as possible now to keep them in a groove. All these off days can cool them off. Look how much better Walker is with regular playing time

I love it and wish every batter would take advantage of what the defense gives them. What does it matter how you load the bases? If Bird et al continue to bunt for base hits, absolutely the shifts will disappear; however, that won't occur until the Yankees systematically establish themselves as shift busters throughout the league.
