I just read that Taysom Hill is the first NFL player with nine touchdowns (each) passing, receiving, and rushing. Can that be right? The first guy I thought of was Kordell "Slash" Stewart who played WR while he was the Steelers backup QB. Kordell had 77 TD passes, 38 rushing TD's but only 5 TD catches, so he didn't do it!

This is one of the worst coached Saints' teams I have seen since the 1970s. Play calls on offense and defense in the last four minutes were baffling. The Saints have had multiple opportunities to put this game away, and the coaching have flushed them down the drain.

Ackkkkk, Saints blew it. Stupid Brady. Stupid Dennis Allen. So many chances to put the game away. Stupid defensive calls - one high safety that allowed the first touchdown in the fourth quarter. Two of the worst offensive play calls by the Saints' offense on their last two possessions.

Ackkkkk, Saints blew it. Stupid Brady. The Tampa defender that broke up the 3rd and 17 pass to Hill was one of the hero's of the game but he won't even get mentioned with all the Brady love.

With apologies to Lou Rawls: Brady love, your love is peaceful Like a summer's breeze My Brady love with love that's tender As a baby's touch You give me all of the things That I need so much You're my world, Brady love Brady love, your love is cooling Like the winter snow My Brady love, with love that's cozy As a fire's glow And I keep on needing you, behind center A little more and more And I thank you, my Brady love… and on and on…

This great picture reminds me of this weekend. There's going to be some cold games today and tomorrow. Bears tickets are going for $8 on stubhub.

This great picture reminds me of this weekend. There's going to be some cold games today and tomorrow. Bears tickets are going for $8 on stubhub. Another great photo from your stash, Chi. You have impeccable taste in classic sports photography, which makes me think you are probably a skilled photographer yourself. The player on the far right is HOF DB Emlen Tunnell. Second from his right is outstanding wide receiver Kyle Rote. The guy looking up (number 81) is HOF DE Andy Robustelli. That was a great Giants team. In addition to Tunnell and Robustelli, other HOFers on that squad were Frank Gifford, Sam Huff, Don Maynard and Rosey Brown. Other outstanding players were QB Charlie Connerly, RB Alex Webster, DB Jimmy Patton, DT Rosie Grier and LB Jim Katcavage. The OC was Vince Lombardi and the DC was Tom Landry. How's that for high-end assistants? The far-less remembered HC was Jim Lee Howell. That team beat the Browns again the next week in the NFL semi-finals, and a week after that lost the NFL Championship 23-17 to the Baltimore Colts in the so-called "Greatest Game Ever Played." I don't know about that, but it was definitely the game that first put the NFL on the national sports map. It created a sensation and got far more coverage than any NFL game had ever gotten up until then.
