Football will always have a special place in my heart as the first sport I watched when I was 7 years old during the 1990 Giants Super Bowl run. Also, being the commissioner of a fantasy league with 11 friends keeps things fun year after year regardless of how much the Giants are sucking.

Good to know...I would imagine your job requires a hell of a lot of forced sameness. That makes it hard to enjoy it as entertainment... Interesting perspective. I would say this was one of the most entertaining NFL seasons of my life, and that’s even with my own team putting up a mediocre result. There’s a lot of good reason not to follow the NFL or any organized football, and NFL management is not a group with a lot to like. However, sameness is the last thing I would say to describe the NFL this season. But I guess if you stopped watching, by definition you wouldn’t know that right? When all of the dots on the computer screen were switched to green, it was all the same. There was no longer a reason to watch. I have him on my suicide watch list. Be kind...

I’m going to take a stab at this before Russ gets a chance to answer, just for the challenge. It’s sort of like Teadong Edgar Alan Poe to see if you can separate the insanity from normalcy. Draft order being affected by inverse winning percentage rather than randomness as in the past. Striving to move towards parity through draft order and manipulation of the rules. Manipulating the rules to encourage more scoring to hold the interest of the fans. Feigning ignorance of the abuse of PEDs in offer to promote more aggressive play and create larger and faster performers. Maybe there’s more... But this is fun...

Their playing styles are less diverse, as in the difference of talent between teams, than before the salary caps, drafts, and change in the nature of schedules.
In my humble opinion. Go back and look at teams in the late sixties and early seventies. They were really different.
And before they changed the penalty rules to make passing far easier than running. If they played by the same rules as the late sixties teams would look very different than they do now.

I guess he intends to keep playing until he feels he’s become ineffective or he sustains permanent damage to his body. He could just go home now and bask in the glory days...Do endorsements, guest appearances. I still hate that Johnny U went to the Chargers at the end...
