It was terrific really. He loves dancing. Spends a lot of time doing it, and says he has many dance partners to choose from. Not like DomePlease, mind you. They want him for his dancing, not for a dalience...
Yeah, I sort of forgot that all happened on PMs. I don’t think he’s reading us, but if he is I don’t think he’s at all the kind of guy to be offended...
Don’t forget he has a “D” in his name. Litdbit...

Nice to switch the subject to something a bit (litdbit) lighter for a moment or two. We’ve seen how much politics can enflame tensions here. Unfortunately, some of the flames seemed to leak into the game thread tonight.
I think we should all try to keep our energies and passions for politics here, and our joy of baseball in the game and other threads.
I’m not trying to run anything, I don’t moderate this forum. I’m just trying to promote a peaceful and joyful community. We all have different passions and opinions. Our differences are part of what makes this such a great home for all of us.
Anybody wants to beat up on anyone else, just dump on me. Cause for the most part it all runs off my shoulders and I can take it.
Love to you all,
Leon

You're honesty is what makes you such a great man inger... you don't bullshit anyone! litDbit - I didn't understand him at first so I kind of thought he was crazy.. which maybe he is.. but then you deciphered his posts, and I thought maybe he's just way smarter than us all. I wish I could see the short story. I wouldn't be able to understand it but I'd still find it entertaining as hell. I remembered he REALLY liked to dance.
I posted in the misc thread but I'll post it here too.. anybody ever tried Neopalitian coffee aka flip cup coffee? It's so delicious... I found it going through my grandma's kitchen in a cabinet above the fridge that no one ever goes in so I had to ask her what it was. She forgot how to use it (until I told her, then she remembered LOL ... my grandma cracks me up) but once I made it (made it wrong the first time, I thought it was a MOKA pot.. (not Mocha..and I want to buy a Moka pot to try the coffee...) it was the BEST coffee I've ever drank. And I drink A LOT of coffee.. We really don't have many coffee shops around here and I refuse to buy at Starbucks.. so most coffees I have to buy online and try at home. Never really messed around with different pots though. I was actually looking for the espresso maker when I found this. Found the espresso maker too. I compared the two and while they're both technically espresso. (My grandma calls it demitasse) The flip top tastes so much better than the espresso machine. I also get free coffee at work so I drink a lot of espresso lately. I've ordered coffee online of the Deathwish variety, it's supposed to be high caffeine but it's no better, if not slightly worse, than the high caffeinated coffee you would buy in a supermarket. Anyways, in summary.. try a flip top coffee maker.. and I'll report back with some Moka coffee reviews.
Keeping with the political theme of this thread... I found the Moka coffee pot for sale at Walmart for $13 and the closest "online mom and pop" had to offer was $30. I will go for the $30 one because I don't want to be a hypocrite.
DOME- I love Johnny Cash. Been listening to him a lot lately. My band is going to be more of a crust punk / hardcore band. Maybe will we do a Cash song and make it our own. We are starting practice Tuesday and will be doing covers to get ourselves in tune with each other, so to speak. I'll offer up the Cash cover and see what happens. We will be covering Filth- Filth, Aus Rotten- The System Works... For THEM, Aus Rotten- Media Blackout, Discharge- Massacre of Innocents, Fight Back, and State Violence State Control.
As far as our own sound, I say let that shit work itself out.. but my bassist wants to sound like a crust band my guitarist wants to sound like a metal band and the drummer doesn't care and just wants to make music. In the theme of Anonymous'... I want us to sound like nothing and I want us to sound like everything. Anonymous gets a bad name because "anybody can be anonymous," so there's a lot of stupid videos out there , calling themselves Anonymous , but Anonymous' doesn't take political sides.. but I see SOOOO many people saying they're Anonymous' in favor of Trump and I see A LOT (not as many as Pro-Trump) of videos talking smack on Trump. It's crazy. Then you got another guy going by Q-Anon who Anonymous' called out , because A) Anonymous doesn't take political sides (I enjoy Q-Anon's posts, the issue isn't that) and B) An anonymous would never call themselves Q-Anon because it gives them a separate voice from Anonymous'.
DOME, maybe you'd like real Anonymous videos.. they talk about EVOLUTION NOT REVOLUTION... In another post I'll copy and paste what Anonymous is about
A lot of people post stupid shit under the Anonymous name... like about the "upcoming apocolypse" the "upcoming alien visitation that's gonna be mass viewed" or my favorite "The government is gonna make a false flag pretending to be the voice of God." Anonymous' aren't about spreading fake news. Anonymous' want the truth... now all that shit is just conspiracy theories. I think the people that make these videos actually just want to discredit Anonymous'.
Anonymous also do a lot of hacking.. and this doesn't have anything to do with Anonymous because I'm certainly not an Anonymous, I just enjoy a lot of the real Anonymous' work. But I've been saying the next American revolution (or any countries revolution for that matter) won't be fought using guns and bombs but by hackers. Exposing the elites through hacking (Snowden, Assange) and to shut down specific infrastructure.. hopefully that won't hurt the 99% of people in this country that aren't the problem. Of course this is well above my knowledge level for that subject.. so I don't want someone to say my opinion sucks.. so I'll stop there.
Back to my band, I digressed. The bassist said he wants my lyrics to be "offensive" and I just want to write my songs about shit that effects me and things I feel strongly about and if they happen to offend you, well, you can go fuck yourself LOL. Did you know a lot of punk bands wore swastikas to "be offensive," back in the day but were anti - fascist. Also, did you know that Antifa was totally different than what it is today, than when it's become. It's amazing how things can get distorted and hijacked... But Antifa was originally a punk rock group in the early 90's-2000s.. who sought out to get rid of the racist aspect of the punk rock scene, specifically making it hard for racist bands to play shows in specific cities. Like all things of a noble cause, this wound up getting way out of control and turned into a fascist group itself, by making it difficult for bands to play shows (if not impossible, using violence against the promoters or threats of violence) just because they differed idioligically (sounds awful fascist to me!!)
Nowadays what ever Antifa is , is not Antifa. A bunch of SJW's who go around crying about anybodies opinions who differ than them, calling them racists!! And sexists!! (sounds like they did take some aspects of later Antifa!!!)
Back to the band again, I wanna make a song about the pussification of our society... not to be offensive.. but because I think it's true... and I know the song will probably be offensive to a lot of people... but totally not the reason I'm writing the song.
In closing... litDbit is sorely missed by one sierchio. I think the reason I called him litbit is I would think this person is a little bit lit!!!

Please cut back on the caffeine brother! It's too much and it's keeping you awake, man...
Anyway, good luck with the band. I like that you and the drummer aren't that much into what the sound is. Wish I could just do one performance as your vocalist...or back you. My singing voice has definitely changed since I sang Bass/Baritone in high school. I always hoped it would get a bit raspy and crusty sounding, but I barely rasp on only certain notes and now at my age if I hit those notes too hard the old voice may crack a time or two, so I have to be careful and choose my spots wisely. Oddly, if I do a Neil Diamond song and sing in "about" his key, my voice rasps just about where his does (or did when he was younger)...Anyway, I'm generally too shy to even do karaoke, so...Ruthie likes me best in a low tenor...Just a shower singer these days, but I do like to rock going down the road sometimes...Was pretty proud when Ruthie and I were doing a duet in the car to several CDs with different artists with our grand daughter in the car and she was blown away by it. I do have to admit that we were both in exceptional voice that day...(especially Ruthie, she doesn't get rave reviews for her singing very often, but she did well that day... (:
One of my fondest quiet memories of my dad was of him and my stepmother singing together in the car when my ex and I rode in the back seat one day. They weren't all that good, but you could tell they were having a blast. Music. If only I had it in my hands. But...I was never encouraged in music as a boy. Probably for fear I would want to buy an instrument and might offend an ear or two while learning it...
We had Jim Croce, Billy Joel...shucks...can't remember...maybe Neil Sedaka...but there was a great variation of styles...I think about 4 or 5 different artists in total...Sedaka's tenor is way higher than mine...We may have had Neil Diamond with us that day...Anyway, I love music...So thankful for it, and the ability to hear it...

That's awesome about you singing to your granddaughter. Better late than never with the music.
The caffeine isn't necessarily keeping me awake. I've always drank this much coffee and espresso doesn't really have more caffeine than regular coffee. I think it may have more caffeine by volume but anyways what's keeping me from sleeping is my grandma. You know how important it is when you have a window to take it because if you miss it you're fucked? Well, a lot of the time my window comes at 5am and I'm at work until 7am (ish). When I get tired throughout the day I have to power through that half hour period when I could probably fall asleep so I can do shit for my grandma... or if I do fall asleep, she'll wake me up. She doesn't understand that I can't go right back to sleep. Today I was having a window around 9 am and she was sleeping so I could take it... then she wakes me up at 10:30am to tell me "I can't pee.. what's wrong with me.. why is everything going wrong" and starts crying and shit.. I got pissed at first, I didn't say it but I'm thinking all the things wrong with you right now and you're upset that you can't piss and what's waking me up going to do about it... what do you want me to do, sit in the bathroom with you and coach you like you're having a baby? Find you a fucking magic pill that will make you piss (you have water pills to make you piss, but you won't take a whole one, only a half, and then complain it didn't work but don't want to take a whole one because you don't want to run out... You make these doctors appointments and then you cancel them because you don't feel well enough to go to them.. life WTF..
But then I calmed down and thought about all the shit I put her through , throughout my life , and realized this was nothing... so what if I couldn't sleep because she can't pee.. I've given her many sleepless nights.. perhaps it's payback now that I'm clean..

Probably has a fear of dying, whether she says so or not. Waking you up is really showing her love and trust in you in a backward sort of way. That would be a good time to tell her that from now on you INSIST she takes that full water pill because you're worried about her. Win-win. She pees, you sleep. Believe me, the coffee IS contributing to your inability to sleep, you hard-headed...Ugh. You remind me of...your grandma!!! I don't care what you've always done, you're not the same physical being you were now that you're clean. There is nothing there to mask the effect of the coffee, get it???. Cut it out about six hours before your window for sleep is to open...Grandma will still worry you, and she may still wake you up once in a while...but you may...just...find...that......you're......getting.........slee........py...very...............very............sl....................zzzzzzzzzzzzz...Damn it...now I can't sleep you sorry son of a... 09-12-18: jubakpicks.com/what-if-china-actually-welcomes-the-trump-administrations-tariffs/ IF HE IS CORRECT (???), Not Good For Our Economy… China trade hardliners in the Trump administration, such as advisor Peter Navarro, have predicated their tariff campaign against China on the theory that hiking tariffs on more than $500 billion in Chinese exports to the United States (as proposed at the moment) will cause such pain to the Chinese economy that the government in Beijing will come back to the negotiating table willing to meet the administration’s demands on tariffs, subsidies for Chinese exporters, currency valuations, and intellectual property protection.
But what if that basic assumption is dead wrong? What if even though U.S. tariffs do impose some pain on the Chinese economy, it is a level of pain that President Xi Jinping and other Chinese leaders are willing to accept because that pain significantly advances their goal of gaining Chinese independence in key technology industries?
That’s the thesis of a post today on Bloomberg.com and the post by Michael Schuman is well worth considering since #1, I think it is right in its essentials, and #2 it turns everything about the U.S.-China trade confrontation on its head with really negative consequences for emerging market financial markets and economies.
Schuman’s argument goes like this.
Higher U.S. tariffs on $500 billion in Chinese exports (plus restrictions on some sensitive high-technology goods from the United States) provide the Chinese government with a perfect cover to raise tariffs on U.S. technology products and push ahead with its Made in China 2025 initiative.
That plan targets global (and in many cases U.S.-led) high technology industries where China wants to seize global leadership.
As part of that plan, the government will make significant investments into domestic Chinese companies in those industries, will encourage domestic companies to buy their technology products from those Chinese technology companies, and will limit foreign involvement in these key Chinese industries.
See any way that the Trump administration’s trade policies actually advance those goals?
The official China Daily put it this way: The trade war is a “blessing in disguise.” The newspaper didn’t put it quite spell out the details to this blessing but Schuman does:
“Trump’s trade sanctions have given Beijing another excuse to drag its feet on free-market reforms, to support local companies and to harass and exclude foreign business —all things Chinese leaders are inclined to do anyway.”
As Schuman writes “The Communist Party prefers Chinese to buy Xiaomi phones and Geely cars, not iPhones and Buicks.” And Beijing wants those phones and cars–both domestic and foreign–made with an increasing percentage of domestically produced technology content. READ MORE…

MORE Donald STUFF & LIES:
As of 09-10-18, Donald had LIED over 4,713 times since taking office… “YOU SAID WHAT?”
The Media tries to be Polite and says, “He mis-stated facts. Yes, I can see that happening once & a while.
But, when it happens Daily, sometimes, many times (multiple times) in one day = LIES.
Donald has lied more than other modern day President, even Nixon.
Donald is a Compulsive Serial Liar…I believe he does such, to Distract & Deflect us from paying attention to the truth/facts in regards to his so many pending problems.

Donald, now claims the Progressive Left will cause violence if the Democrats win the Mid-Terms. This is a Huge Lie and is called Fear-Mongering (A Fear-Talker).
The only Ones, who started more Violence (Hate Crimes/Events), were his Extreme White Supremacist Nazi-Like Dark Age Belief Followers after Donald was ELECTED.
The Progressive will only Dance, Smile, Dance, Laugh & Party if the Democrats win the Mid-Term Elections…
---08-29-18: DONALD, also lied again, a couple of days ago, when he stated that the DOW just crossed 26,000 for the first time.
The DOW crossed & close above 26,000 on 01-26-18 at 26,616.71. He just cannot help himself = Like a LYING CHILD!!!
09-06-18: www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/revealed-trump-inauguration-crowd-photos-were-edited-after-he-intervened/ar-BBMWxOE?li=BBnb7Kz A government photographer edited official pictures of Donald Trump’s inauguration to make the crowd appear bigger following a personal intervention from the president, according to newly released documents.
The photographer cropped out empty space “where the crowd ended” for a new set of pictures requested by Trump on the first morning of his presidency, after he was angered by images showing his audience was smaller than Barack Obama’s in 2009.
The detail was revealed in investigative reports released to the Guardian under the Freedom of Information Act by the inspector general of the US interior department. They shed new light on the first self-inflicted crisis of Trump’s presidency, when his White House falsely claimed he had attracted the biggest ever inauguration audience.
The records detail a scramble within the National Park Service (NPS) on 21 January 2017 after an early-morning phone call between Trump and the acting NPS director, Michael Reynolds. They also state that Sean Spicer, then White House press secretary, called NPS officials repeatedly that day in pursuit of the more flattering photographs.
--09-11-18: www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-wanted-to-up-tax-rate-to-44percent-says-woodward-book/ar-BBNaLH3?li=BBnb7Kz U.S. President Donald Trump had to be talked out of raising personal income tax by four percentage points, astonishing his chief economic adviser.
The revelation comes in The Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward’s book Fear: Trump in the White House, which is released today.
In it, Woodward says that former National Economic Council director Gary Cohn had discussed tax reform legislation with the president and during the conversation, Trump suggested dropping the top corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 15 percent.
But Trump's suggestion to compensate for the difference appeared to shock Cohn.
"I'll take the personal top rate to 44% if I can get the corporate rate to 15%," Trump said, according to Woodward.
“Sir, you can't take the top rate up," Cohn reportedly responded. "You just can't."
"What do you mean?" Trump reportedly replied. Cohn told Trump he would "get absolutely destroyed" if this happened.
In July 2017, former White House adviser Steve Bannon had raised the idea of including a top tax rate of 44 percent for the 44,000 Americans earning more than $5 million a year to pay for tax cuts, which would raise around $18 billion a year, The Intercept reported.
Woodward's book, seen by Business Insider, also alleges that Cohn was shocked at how Trump did not understand how U.S. federal debt worked. The book outlines a conversation in November 2016 about how the Federal Reserve was likely to increase interest rates.
Trump said: “We should just go borrow a lot of money, hold it, and then sell it to make money."
Cohn explained that this would increase the deficit and actually add to the debt and was "astounded at Trump's lack of basic understanding" about what government borrowing meant.
"It was clear that Trump did not understand the way the US government debt cycle balance sheet worked," Woodward wrote.
Cohn is the latest figure to emerge from Woodward’s book casting aspersions on the intelligence of Trump. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis reportedly told associates that Trump "had the understanding of a fifth or sixth grader."
Scott Pruitt, former administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, said the president lacked knowledge “when it comes to things like the Constitution and rule of law.” Meanwhile, former White House deputy chief of staff Katie Walsh reportedly said working with him was “like trying to figure out what a child wants.”
--09-11-18 Another Lie: www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/sep/10/trump-tweet-facts-wrong-white-house-adviser-kevin-hassett-trump From a White House that coined the term “alternative facts”, admissions are rare and apologies even rarer. But on Monday, the American people were treated to both.
The White House’s chief economic adviser, Kevin Hassett, admitted that Donald Trump had been wrong to claim that GDP growth was higher than the unemployment rate for the first time in 100 years.
On Monday morning, Trump wrote on Twitter: “The GDP Rate (4.2%) is higher than the Unemployment Rate (3.9%) for the first time in over 100 years!”
Asked about the veracity of the statement later that day at a White House press briefing, Hassett said: “So I can tell you what is true. … What is true is that it’s the highest in 10 years. And at some point somebody probably conveyed it to him adding a zero to that and they shouldn’t have done that.”
Standing behind the same podium where the former White House press secretary Sean Spicer once falsely claimed that Trump’s inauguration drew the largest crowd there had ever been, Hassett thanked the reporter for the chance to set the record straight.
“We numbers geeks here at the White House are grateful when the press finds mistakes that we make – we don’t like making mistakes.
--09-11-18 BRAVO!!!: www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/you-should-be-ashamed-of-yourself-key-trump-aide-stephen-miller-condemned-by-childhood-rabbi/ar-BBN9Dnv?li=BBnbfcL The childhood rabbi to Stephen Miller, special adviser to Donald Trump and a key architect of his “zero-tolerance” immigration policies, criticized his former charge on Monday as a purveyor of “negativity, violence, malice and brutality” who had learned nothing from his Jewish spiritual education.
Rabbi Neil Comess-Daniels of Beth Shir Shalom, a progressive reform synagogue in the beachside city of Santa Monica where Miller grew up, devoted his sermon marking the Jewish New Year to a striking denunciation of Miller and the now-abandoned policy he championed of separating immigrant families at the border.
“Honestly, Mr Miller, you’ve set back the Jewish contribution to making the world spiritually whole through your arbitrary division of these desperate people,” the rabbi said. “The actions that you now encourage President Trump to take make it obvious to me that you didn’t get my, or our, Jewish message.
“This is the season of apology, and to get to an apology, shame over past actions is necessary. Some shout at others when they are self-righteous enough: you should be ashamed of yourself! That’s not something I would ever shout or demand.” But Comess-Daniels went on to say it was up to Miller to acknowledge his wrongdoing.
