The name "kissing bug" doesn't quite communicate the danger of the infection that insects with that moniker can spread.
These bloodsucking bugs, called triatomine bugs, spread a parasitic illness called Chagas disease. Left untreated, Chagas causes serious cardiac or intestinal complications in about 30% of patients, according to the CDC.
These complications can lead to heart failure and sudden death.
Because many people don't show signs of infection, medical researchers have described Chagas as a "silent killer."
Chagas has typically been found in Central and South America, but the disease is becoming more common in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Japan, according to a recent statement from American Heart Association (AHA) and the Inter-American Society of Cardiology.
The AHA estimates that there are approximately 300,000 people infected with Chagas in the US right now, and approximately 6 million infected people around the world.

--I really think some Men have an unusual Penis; I call it ‘The Marco Polo Penis’. For they cannot keep from screwing around, regardless of the cost to their Current Relationship(s), Careers, Social Standing, etc.’
It is like, their Penis is always Traveling Around, on some Exotic Adventure.
--08-28-18: www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/std-which-can-cause-blindness-is-on-the-rise/ar-BBMyrd5?li=BBnba9O Increasing numbers of people in industrialized countries are at risk from permanent damage to their vision as a result of the sexually transmitted disease syphilis, an international team of researchers have warned in a study published in the journal Scientific Reports.
Syphilis rates in many nationshave been on the rise in recent years. Rates in the United States, for example, have more than doubled from 2.1 cases per 100,000 people in 2000 to 5.3 cases per 100,000 in 2013, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
And reports from around the world suggest that a growing number of syphilis cases are leading to an inflammatory eye disease, known as ocular syphilis, which can cause redness, blurry vision, and in the worst cases, partial or total vision loss, if not treated in a timely manner.
In the latest study, researchers from Flinders University and the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, observed four medical centers in Brazil for two-and-a-half years, finding that ocular syphilis cases had increased more than eight times in this period compared to the past decade.
In total, the team identified 127 patients, with 87 of those suffering inflammations in both eyes. Many had suffered complications including retinal detachment—which occurs when the thin layer at the back of the eye (retina) becomes loose. More than half of the patients had lost vision to below levels that would be required to drive.
According to the researchers, the findings in Brazil are a reflection of the re-emergence of this infectious disease around the world.

--I do not know, if you all heard what happen today in Nowhere, Baja?
We had a major Flash Flood; Waves of Rushing Water, over 5-Feet High and there had been NO Rain for weeks. Mexican Officials at first were baffled…
But, after an initial investigation, they found the cause of this Flash Flood was because the Prosecutors in America are draining Donald’s CORRUPT CARTEL SWAMP and this Flash Flood was just part of the Run-Off.
--Later in day, we heard a LOUD CRASH on our property. At first, I thought our Tree-House Bungalow had crashed into our pool.
However, after a few minutes, I concluded the Crash was coming from Donald’s rapidly declining CORRUPT EMPIRE CRUMBLING.
--With all these charges of Corruption swirling around Donald, I realized WE have NOT heard a word from Pence.
At first, I figured he must be really busy, on other important things concerning OUR Govt.
However, now I have concluded, that YES, Pence is busy; busy that is:
PLANNING all the Parties/Events for the Day, when he is sworn in as President.
08-24-18: www.msn.com/en-us/money/retirement/no-trumps-impeachment-wouldnt-kill-your-retirement-plan/ar-BBMlF7y?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=U147DHP But economists say it's all but assured that a Trump impeachment wouldn't trigger a slide of that magnitude: Watergate unfolded as the American economy was facing an oil crisis, rampant "stagflation," and a recession — a near-complete opposite of today's economic picture.
Although he was ultimately acquitted by the Senate, Bill Clinton's House impeachment provides a closer example; the late-90s economy was booming, and the market proved much more resilient to D.C.'s drama.
While the S&P 500 dropped close to 20 percent in advance of prosecutor Kenneth Starr's report, it regained all of that ground and then some by the time Clinton was ultimately cleared by the Senate in early 1999.
"This time around, while the current crisis may trigger a modest decline, we do not think it will lead to recession and therefore will not result in a new bear market," said Sam Stovall, chief investment strategist for CFRA.
Ultimately, some think impeachment could be a boon for the market after the dust settles. A frequent theme of economists' observations since Trump's election has been the market volatility stoked by trade tensions and diplomatic disputes, even as hallmarks of the GOP's agenda — lower taxes and less regulation — have fueled a run-up in equities.
"If he were to be removed from office, there's no reason to believe that [Vice President Mike] Pence would change any of those policies," Joseph Heider, president of Cirrus Wealth Management, told NBC News. "I think there's a very strong argument that could be made that the markets would be more stable under Pence than they would be under Trump," he said.

IT IS A SAD DAY IN DO ME’S HOUSE, FOR AMERICA & FOR THE WORLD.
Mr. McCain & I had very different views when it came to Politics, but regardless, I Honored him & yes, Respected him. Why?
--He was a Maverick and unlike so many members of our Congress today, he crossed the aisle to work with Democrats on Bills that would help all the Citizens of America.
--He was Honest with NO Corruption.
--When he was wrong or had error, he admitted such.
--He was our unofficial Global Ambassador.
--So, so, so many Leaders of other Countries respected & honored him.
--He worked to TRY & Ensure Freedom & Equality for all; not only here in America, but also Globally.
--He was a MAN, of dignity, respect, honesty, etc.; just a damn Decent Human Being, with high Moral Standards.
--He fought those, that Abused Their Power both in America & Globally.
--He was admired so much, by so many in America (yes, even many Democrats) & Globally.
--He served America both in The Military & Congress and did so with Honor.
-- In Congress, he did what was best for all American Citizens, unlike today’s Congress that only do what is necessary to keep them in power and what is good for their party (regardless if Citizens suffer).
--He made so many Sacrifices for America; including spending years in Prison as a POW where he was Constantly Tortured. He served his Country with Dignity, Respect and Courage.
--He was a REAL Man…a great human being. All of us MUST learn from him and use as him a Role Model for our Children. Schools should make it Mandatory that all children read the history of John McCain.
--Along with all his great traits, he also had a great sense of humor.
--He was not only Hero, a Patriot, a Real Man, etc.; but, most importantly, A Righteous Human Being.
Yes, we should feel sadden, by the departure of Mr. McCain, for we live in times where we so desperately need so, so, so many more John McCain’s.
However, I am also MAD:
--Why are always, the Great, Decent, Honorable, Heroic Ones always taken from us so early? I can only figure either God has a wicked sense of humor or these way to early departure(s), are all part of his plan.
--Instead, we are left with in America, not just a few, but millions of Dark Age Belief Citizens, that Daily, Preach their Vile, Disgusting Hate and where they demand that: ‘It is THEIR Way or NO WAY.”
Mr. John McCain: It will be difficult, very difficult; but I will try my best, to live a life like the one you have. I will truly miss you, but WILL NOT ever forget you.
Today and for the Rest of My Life, I will always Remember You, Honored You & Respect You; for you were what all the Dictionaries should use for the Definition of Integrity.
Thank you so much for your Service to our Country, the World and Every Citizen in the World.
Please give my best to MLK.
Sad, so damn sad…
JOHN McCAIN QUOTES TO REMEMBER: “Nothing in life is more liberating than to fight for a cause larger than yourself, something that encompasses you but is not defined by your existence alone.” “Courage is not the absence of fear, but the capacity to act despite our fears.”

I'm not gonna rag on a dead man... but remember John McCain was a war monger... he's one of the reasons we went into Iraq... just because he's dead doesn't mean he needs to be put on a pedestal... but to each his own..

Apparently, you missed the part where I stated, "Mr. McCain & I had very different views when it came to Politics..."
Also, Mr. McCain was not solely responsible for the Iraq War = It was Bush, His Administration, The Vast Majority of Congress; plus the majority of the American Public that were in favor of this ill-gotten, awful stupid war.
The War was like the Vietnam War = Based on Lies, Partial Facts, Facts that had not been thoroughly Vetted/Investigated & more Lies & Incompetence. etc.
Yes, I disliked Mr. McCain for saying too many times "We Need Boots On The Ground." At least Mr. McCain admitted his errors...
However, even though our politics differed like Night & Day; my post was about his Character.
Something our President lacks dearly, along with a majority of our Congress...unless one thinks CHARACTER is being a Serial Compulsive Liar, being Corrupt, doing what is Best for your Party & not what is Best for the Citizens etc. etc. etc.
But I do hear you Sierchio. Have a GREAT Weekend, my friend. AND Please VOTE this November.

I was saying that McCain had shitty character... wasn't going into his politics... Everything you said about Trump can be said for McCain, except the doing what's best for your party, not the citizens... McCain did what was best for corporate interests not the citizens... but I really don't feel like beating a dead horse... literally. Guy was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, got preferential treatment in the military... sucked at his job in the military.. (not because he got captured, that was a shit remark by Trump) and constantly flip flopped on issues in his political career.. mostly just being a mouth for the shit that his corporate backers wanted him to spew.. The guy was a wretched human being.. and the world is better off without him in it... there I said it.. I didn't want to and I know it's a horrible thing to say, but this man ended the life of so many fucking innocent people...

The same way that McCain and millions more have fought for, by the way. One of the sad things about politicians is that most of them truly believe that what they’re doing is best for the country and the world. Perhaps it is, but it’s certainly not an easy task, and most of us are unable to see it their way...

I don’t believe for one nano second that the guy in the WH now gives a rats ass about the country, the world or the people that inhabit it except for those who enable him. I am not a Democrat either. The less I say about the whole sad saga the better.
