Has anyone under sixty ever even heard of James Cagney, or that quote??? I had to look it up. When I was a lad that imitation was spoken what seemed to be a million times. Of course, we had way less to entertain us back in those days, as filthy humor was not yet allowed in public places... The internet was not there of course, either...So movies got quoted a lot. The Tonight Show provided water cooler conversation at a place called the office where people used to go to work...Quite often, people would make up stories about what was said on The Tonight Show. There would be tittilating tales made of double entendres that were never spoken. I recall one of them in which Johnny Carson supposedly asked Arnold Palmer his secret to playing great golf and Arnie had replied that he had Mrs. Palmer kiss his balls before every match. Carson was supposed to have replied “I bet that gets your putter up”. Never happened. Oh, the innocent 1950s and 1960s. Where did they go? Nowadays, they would actually have a movie graphically showing the ball kissing...

Yes, thank for the correction...but when it never happened do the actual words that were never spoken really matter? Yes, I think even moreso...
