Ohtani's interpreter fired for allegedly stealing over 4 million of the slugger's money. Yikes! Sent to a gambling operation too.
People are saying what kind of interpreter gets a 4.5 million dollar line of credit? The conspiracy theorists are saying Shoeless Sho was doing the gambling and MLB is using the interpreter as the fall guy so their golden boy doesn't get suspended or thrown in jail. Reminds me of the conspiracy theorists who said shocking things about Michael Jordan or Wayne Gretzky's gambling and how the NBA and NHL covered it up.
Who knows what to believe at this point. But the feds are getting involved so stay tuned.

Frank McHenry was nicknamed “Limb” because at 6’4” he was a giant pitcher in 1915-16…McHenry was also nicknamed “Big Pete” for reasons that I don’t care to know, but good for him. Hmm. Come to think of it, that might have been why he was called “Limb”, too…br]
Our own former poster, the late UtahYank was nicknamed “Shade” because of his massive height. I think he said he was 6’9” tall? When I stood next to him, he seemed taller. I worked with a guy that was 6’ 9” once…

obviously it's way early and i'm sure there's an adjustment period (though tanaka stepped right in), but yamamoto who the yankees made a serious pitch for and who many here (including myself) wanted is off to a very rough start. 8+ ST ERA and 1 inning and 5 ER in his 1st regular season start. presumably needs to settle in but not pretty. can only imagine the calls michael kay would be getting about this  |

I would any day. The ring is forever. Sure, it's excruciating having the bad years, but winning it all is the whole point of the game. They don't put up banners for having 15 decent seasons in a row. |
