I don't think I am ever going to learn to love Chapman He’s a lousy human being. I can’t root for him at all ever. If he could fall down the stairs today and be done for his career that would be fine. He’s the only thing about this team I don’t enjoy. lol I mean as a reliever. To much variability for a statistical type

I'm still not sure how I feel about severino he threw a lot of pitches in 4 innings. Still looks slightly off.

I don't think I am ever going to learn to love Chapman When he’s hitting 103+ on the radar gun I don’t dislike him quite as much... And if his lady stays with him and takes his abuse, she’s part of the problem...unfortunately, when that happens other men share the brunt to a degree. But women do talk to each other, and tbise of us that treat our ladies right are recognized. It may be quiet recognition, but we need nothing more. That’s what dignity is all about... Do a random act of kindness each day. Do it anonymously. It will do you more good than you’d ever imagine....

I'm still not sure how I feel about severino he threw a lot of pitches in 4 innings. Still looks slightly off. I think he was over-throwing a bit with the knowledge that he was going to be pulled after maybe 5 max...The second time through the lineup he may have been better off to throw more fastballs. The A’s started taking. He could have caught them napping, expecting the slider off the plate...

Did robertson pitch today? Yes. He threw mostly meatballs but it was his lucky day. He never got hurt and the one really good pitch he threw was a K in no uncertain terms...

Maybe teams won’t be so quick to go to this idiotic opener philosophy. To me it it reeks of desperation and makes little sense to expect better results than using the standard starting pitcher approach.
On the other hand, since the “opener” can be charged with a loss but can’t earn a win unless he hangs around for 5 innings unexpectedl (how would that happen?). So it could lead to some surprise twenty game winners, maybe even a thirty game winner out of the bullpen, since the second pitcher wouldn’t have an innings quota to meet to be credited with a win.
But, that’s nothing but a meaningless stat. The overall strategy of it seems senseless to me...
Oh well. Just me rambling. Again...sorry...
