They did it! 2014 Detroit Tigers finally win World Series
It finally happened.
Led by the power bat of J.D. Martinez, the slick fielding of Ian Kinsler and the sweet, sweet pitching of David Price and Rick Porcello, the 2014 Detroit Tigers — constructed by president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski — have won the World Series.
It may be four years late, they may be wearing different colors and playing for a different city — one spoiled in success, winning four World Series the past 15 years — but what's important is Dombrowski's vision has finally become realized and his club has reached baseball's pinnacle.

To be fair, they pummelled us also, but yeah, they at least had a shot at a couple of games they lost by only a run. That 16-1 game left a sharp sting...I hope we never have to watch Austin Romine pitch again. Nightmares... Romine is actually taking CC’s spot in the rotation.

Trolls are already out. Guy on Facebook was bragging that Boston area has 11 championships this century while New York only has 4. I said well NY still leads Boston 48-37 Overall (54-38 if you count teams no longer in New York or Boston but won when they were). I was told that "doesn't count" because New York has multiple teams in the city for each league while Boston does not.

None of you watched the Saints win tonight!?! [img src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/oBooKhQgDwbw0VxoHmAe.gif" alt=" " class="smile"] I saw more of this game than the baseball. Impressive road win by the Saints.

Imagine how warm that milk would get by the end of the game. Milk, like beer, is best ingested as cold as you can get it...By the eighth inning he could be blowing bubbles with the curdles...

Can't knock anything BOS did, they responded all year when challenged. What is funny about the postseason is that it wasn't so much Betts, JD, Kimbrel, Sale, it was the second and third tier guys that really stepped up. Well-deserved all around, now it's time to go at the champ in 2019.

Good for them and let’s take them down next year.
