I am PERSONALLY THRILLED that the Yankees beat Oakland.
However, Business-Wise ($$$), I am disappointed…for I have two very large bets that:
1. That the Yankees do NOT make the WS
2. And that if they make the WS; that they will NOT win it.
Therefore, I am torn between TWO-WORLDS. Go Figure.
At the beginning of the season, I also placed bets on the Astros, Indians, etc. to win the WS.
However, my best bet (great odds) was for the Braves to win the WS…A real dark horse bet. Who Knew (???); Tequila liked the ODDS, so I placed the bet.
Last night, I spoke with one of my Rich Gambling friends (who spent most the time ribbing me about the Yankees win-- He is the same guy who I have the two Yankee bets with.). After after much debating and discussion, he gave me 18-1 odds that the Indians/Braves do NOT face off in the WS.
I took that bet, that they DO face-off in the WS for $2,000 at 18-1.
Either, a good bet; or Good Money chasing Bad Money.

The Cleveland Indians are the first team in baseball history to have four pitchers reach the 200-strikeout mark in the same season, and that staff will be the key to their October success:
•Corey Kluber: 20-7, 2.89 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, 222 K, 215.0 IP
•Carlos Carrasco: 17-10, 3.38 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 231 K, 192.0 IP
•Mike Clevinger: 13-8, 3.02 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 207 K, 200.0 IP
•Trevor Bauer: 12-6, 2.21 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 221 K, 175.1 IP
They also have rookie Shane Bieber (11-5, 4.55 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 118 K, 114.2 IP), who will move into a bullpen role where he has a chance to be a major weapon.
Offensively, the Indians ranked third in the majors in runs scored (818), sixth in home runs (216) and first in stolen bases (135), as they're capable of doing damage in a number of different ways.THE GOOD NEWS:If I win one of these Big Bets, I plan to use the $$$ to visit many of YOU, at your homes for Five Nights & Six Days Each.
Aren’t you all excited???
I do have some Minor Requirements:
--My room at your house, needs to have a good firm mattress with silk sheets & pillow cases.
--I require A/C at night; so that I get a goodnight’s rest.
--For Breakfast on Days, One Three & Five; I require three pancakes with three fries eggs (over-medium), six strips of bacon (medium) and hash browns, with ample coffee (cream only; no sugar) and fresh squeezed OJ. The other two days, you can take me out to breakfast at the two best breakfast spots in your community.
--For Lunch (same days as above) I require, a tall glass ice water with a fresh large squeezed Lime, either two egg salad sandwiches or tuna fish on toasted bread with a sliced tomato & bits of salad. The other days you can take me out to your two best Delis in your community for lunch.
--For Dinner, each night you can take me out to dinner. I need to dine at your two best Sushi places and your two best Chinese places & one dinner at a real good steak house.
--During the day, I will require a very large pot of Green Tea (I drink around nine cups a day) and raw cleaned veggies with a variety of veggie dips. It would be nice if you had two jars of Costco Herring available plus at least eight large bottles of cold drinking water.
--When we return home at night from our dinners, I would like a large slice of Costco chocolate cake with two scoops of vanilla ice cream.
--For drinks, I require a bottle of Absolut Vodka with fresh OJ and a bottle of Clooney’s Tequila. For wine, I am happy with a few bottles of Sterling Chardonnay from Central California.
--I will also need my travel clothes to be laundered and pressed.
--There is more…but I am ahead of myself here; I first have to win these bets.
