Report: Astros employee accused of suspicious behavior throughout postseason
Danny Picard of Boston Metro reports that, during Game 1 of the ALCS on Saturday, a man claiming to be an Astros employee was removed by security. The man was in the media-credentialed area next to the Red Sox dugout but he did not have media credentials. He was, however, using a small camera and texting frequently. When the man was taken away from the area, an Astros staffer tried to intervene, saying he was authorized to be in the area. Security did not buy the story, so the man was not allowed to return to that area but was allowed to remain in the ballpark.
This wasn’t the first time security had been made aware of the man. Apparently the same man had been up to some shady business during the ALDS against the Indians as well, which means the Astros may have been cheating throughout the postseason.
Cleveland Indians file complaint to MLB about Astros trying to film inside their dugout during ALDS
The Indians have filed a complaint with MLB about the Houston Astros trying to film inside their dugout during the Game 3 of the ALDS at Progressive Field.
An employee of the Astros, holding a cellphone camera, was removed twice by security from the photographer's pit next to the Indians' dugout during Game 3 on Oct. 8. The Astros completed a three-game sweep of the Indians with an 11-3 win that day.
On Oct. 9, the day after Houston's sweep, Boston officials called the Indians to find out what happened. Four days later a similar incident took place at Fenway Park during Game 1 of the ALCS on Saturday between the Astros and Red Sox, according to Metro News.
In the third inning, Fenway Park security removed an Astros employee from a media-credentialed area near the Red Sox's dugout. The man, according to Metro News, had a small camera and was texting frequently. He did not have a media credential.
Boston security was on the alert because of what happened in the ALDS between the Indians and Astros. MLB told Metro News that the matter is being handled internally.

So, here's a dumb question. Why can't these teams just rely on their talent and go play the game fairly? I know. I feel dumber just by asking...

lol, The Brewers just pulled Wade Miley after facing only one batter. This #bullpenning stuff is getting crazy. Of course, it did mess up the Dodger's lineup, which was the plan.

Time to get rid of replay and Joe West. Terrible call and criminal that they didn't overturn it.

I agree, there's no way Joe West could have seen that play clearly enough to make a fielder's interference call, yet it was more important for him to a part of the game instead of making the correct call.

Total horseshit. That ball was well in the stands. Joe West and Angel Hernandez. I don't know whose worse.

MLB had no problem reversing Angel Hernandez calls, I guess the same doesn't imply to Joe West. I quit watching the game after that, since it seemed more like fake pro wrestling than a real sport.

We all know the names of umpires like Joe West, Angel Hernandez and C.B Bucknor because they are terrible. They just are, and anybody who follows baseball knows it. Umps whose names you rarely hear are the good ones. I think that all things considered, most umps do a decent job under somewhat difficult circumstances. These three publicity-loving gasbags have been consistently lousy for years and years. West may be the single most arrogant of the bunch. If they were players, they would have been DFAd long ago.

Country Joe West still refuses to admit he was wrong:

Eovaldi (2-0 1.88 ERA) starts and relieves for Boston, a critical piece that got them to the World Series. Letting that guy go to the Red Sox bites the Yankees in the post season ass.
