Very sad to report that Jeter the Shih Tzu passed away unexpectedly last night [img alt=" " src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/lD0IYnVdZbyEdSEWlEUC.gif" class="smile"] Sorry to hear about Jeter, Joe. Our pets are like family members and it's tough to lose one. I’d forgotten we had his picture...Cute little shit... It will make for a mini pet-appreciation day at the house of inger today. We were so fearful of losing Brandy recently, but she seems to be well now, though she has a slight limp when she first gets up sometimes and occasionally will limp on her front right leg for a few hours. Other than that, she seems back to normal...

Very sorry to hear that Joe. May he rest in peace. No peace for Shih Tzus. They want action. I hope that little dude found himself another sports car and is tearing up the highway...Cool little dudes with a lot of spunk...Huge personalities, too...

Sorry to hear the Sad News... Thanks DoMe...the unexpectedness really made it sting bc my brother and I didnt get a chance to say good bye but we are also somewhat glad that he didnt end up suffering and become decrepit and miserable. When I had to put "Frostbite", my Great Pyrenees down I promised him no tears. We had so much joy together and had been through so much together that I wanted to remember only that. I still miss him though...and any time I think of him, I smile...The same with my old long-haired orange tabby cat, "UggyFace". There will definitely never be a smarter cat than that one...I had to watch them stick needles in them, which is never easy...

Mr. Cooper is the cat we adopted from the pet shelter a few months ago. When we first got him, we had to shave his back and the area around his rear end and back hips because it was one giant mat of hair. As you can see, his fur has grown back quite well.
He came to our attention in the rescue because other than his size, he’s a dead ringer for my deceased buddy “UggyFace”, who weighed about 17 pounds to Mr. Cooper’s 9.3 pounds when he first came home with us. Since then, he’s gained three pounds.
The rescue estimated his age at 3-5 years. He’s very friendly, though still a bit skittish from whatever time he spent as a stray. We assume he once had a home because he understood what to do with a litter box immediately.
Since he moved in, he’s taken the foot of our bed over as his office, and stays there most of the day, contentedly snoozing. He gets up at least once per night and parades around the house caterwauling, which gets our other cat “Gypsy Wynd” to come out. They tend to stay away from each other except they playfully stalk each other, taking turns showing each other “See? I coulda’ killed you if I wanted too”.
I’ll follow up with a fresh picture of Gypsy Wynd soon...

I’ve heard of Tibetan Mastiffs reach 260 pounds, as well as similar weights for St. Bernards.
This dog looks like it’s primarily a combination of the Neopololitan Mastiff, English Mastiff and Cane Corso. The only reason I don’t toss the Tibetan Madtiff in the stew pot is that the Tibetan has long fur and a ridiculous mane that make it look even bigger.
My bidders dog ever was my Bull Mastiff named “Bruno”. Who was 165 pounds when he died from cancer. He was just over three years old, so wouldn’t have likely gotten much bigger. “Brandy”, our Doub-bull Mastiff is 150 pounds and we hope she settles at that weight. She’s 6 years old, so other than fat, she should stop growing...
But add another 100 pounds to my dog, and you’re in the neighborhood of where this Molossus will grow to...

"Tequila, I have a NEW job for you..."
A parrot who warned two alleged drug dealers in Brazil that police were coming was taken into custody after it almost foiled an undercover drug raid, authorities said.
When the green-and-white bird spotted officers Tuesday at its owners' Teresina home, the parrot squawked "Mama, Police!" in Portuguese, according to the local outlet Oliberal.com.
Despite the bird's efforts to tip off the owners, a man and woman were arrested, the outlet reports. Drugs, including crack and marijuana, were also found at the property as well as large amounts of money.
The parrot, who police did not name, has reportedly continued to show its loyalty to its owners and is refusing to sing like a canary. The Guardian reports that a local journalist said the bird won't talk to officers and "hasn't made a sound."
The parrot, who authorities believe was trained to spot police cars, is being kept at a zoo in Teresina, Oliberal.com reports
