Oh, I meant to mention my Yankee connection to Newport. Back in 2006, after a business lunch, I was strolling around the town and went past a tacky souvenir shop. In the window they were a displaying a T-shirt that had that stupid meme from the era of a bratty-looking kid peeing, but this time the target was a Yankee cap. I know it's not worthy of attention, but after two years of living in Boston and taking abuse from Red Sox fans, I decided to contact the Yankees' legal department to inform them of what appeared to be a copyright violation. They actually responded quickly to my email. I don't know exactly what action they took, but I do know that a few months later I was back in Newport to check on that shop. Not a peeing kid in sight. Maybe they had just sold out, but I don't think so. My good deed for the day. Righting the wrongs internationally and here at home!

I have probably committed more wrongs than I have righted, but I like your assessment.

I had to work yesterday and today, but you guys went Foodie nuts in this thread. Lots of steaks and burgers talk flying around just as I find myself starting to dig the chimichanga, beef and bean burrito, etc.
It’s still hard to beat a good steak or burger, just harder to find one of either… I might be turning Mexican…

Went through that transition 55 years ago…

Just wanted to report that we had our long-anticipated In-N-Out Burger lunch in Scottsdale today, right after our visit to Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio Taliesin West. In fact the In-N-Out was on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard. Two icons joined by fate. Double Double with cheese. As good as I remember.
Wasn't this Kaybli's night at The Musket? Details, details.

I saw an Internet article that rated In-N-Out as having a middling, rather tasteless burger, but having extremely fresh toppings that made up for the blandness of the meat. How would you respond to that article?…

What? You CAN’T postpone that. You let him suffer and get thy ass to the Musket to satisfy your carnivorous urges. It’s like the full moon coming out and you didn’t kill…

How would you respond to that article?… The burger is fresh beef seared on a griddle with salt and pepper. The toppings, indeed, are very fresh. The only thing that is bland are the fries, which are awful.

How would you respond to that article?… I suspect the article was paid for by Burger King. For a fast food Burger, In-N-Out tastes very fresh. And the place is so bright and cheery. BTW Inger, since you are an admitted chimichanga devotee, I have to tell you that tomorrow after a morning hike in Saguaro National Park, my wife and I are having lunch in Tucson at El Charro, the place that claims to have invented that very delicacy. Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and the oldest continously family-owned Mexican restaurant in the United States. That's a lot of qualifiers, but I buy into it. I'll issue a report.

I look forward to that report, Pipps. My mouth is watering at the thought. Ruthie made her best batch of Italian Chicken over rice with broccoli and cheese EVER tonight. As I sit here pondering going back for some more, the thought of a chimichanga is still more appealing. The chicken breasts I found at Safeway this week were so huge that we split one breast between us, and both of us were sated. Somehow now, less than an hour later I’ve gotten hungry again. I am curious about the difference between a beef and bean burrito and a chimichanga, though. It seems Mexican dishes are often the same basic entree, but the type of flour our shape, crunchiness, or other factor involved in the shell is a name changer…
