On a baseball side note, while I was there, the Cards would let anybody with an active duty military ID into games for free as long as it wasn't sold out. I went to upwards of 100 games over the 6 seasons I was there, including a game vs. the Yanks once in (I believe it was) June of 2005, a game the Yanks won 5-0. Most of them were at the old Busch, as my last year in STL was the year new Busch opened and most games were sold out. Only got to see 3 in the new stadium. Always have had a soft spot for the Cards since then. Great baseball town and really smart fans. Yes...St. Louis is a great baseball town; second only to the Yanks in World Series Championships (11). I caught one game at the "new" Busch a few years ago...nice ballpark. Who didn't love Stan The Man and, of course, Yogi was from there..."The Hill". It's been called something more "colorful", but I don't want to offend anyone .

I have a fantastic BBQ joint near work and it has caused my waistband to expand a couple of inches since I started working here back in March. Just had it for lunch today, now I'm fighting the heavy eyelids in my office. Awesome donnie! What do you usually order from the BBQ place?

Their pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and a cup of Brunswick Stew when they have it is my go-to, though occasionally I'll go with the brisket. And apple crisp for desert, of course. 🐷 This is the joint, highly recommend if anyone is ever in Omaha. I've had BBQ all over the country and this is in my top-3. www.swinediningbbq.com/
