I do, too. In fact, I am still craving Korean fried chicken we discussed a couple days ago. I had a Japanese friend who refused to eat at any sushi 🍣 🍱 restaurant with a Korean chef. Sushi chefs had to be Japanese or he wouldn’t go. The only thing I really know about Korean food is that godawful odor of Kimchee… that killed it for me. But chicken is chicken, and I like Chinese chicken. I’ve had and enjoyed Cambodian chicken despite the presence of the head, and the horizontal slicing that tended to give every one a mixture of white and dark meat… I thought you were not a fan of dark meat?

I’m not, though I have eaten it on occasion. The drumstick meat is actually pretty fair, it’s the thigh meat I don’t care for. Even on the drumstick, I prefer the muscle side over the opposite… At the Cambodian wedding, I was treated as a guest of honor because the people getting married worked for me. I was able to choose early and those people would have stuffed me to the gills. You could see they were thrilled that I liked their food. Such sweet, kind people…

Today I ordered Thai food which is also one of my favorites. Coconut Soup, Tamarind Duck, Drunken Noodles, Papaya Salad, good stuff.

I love drunken noodles! It is difficult for me to go to a new Thai place without trying their Pad Thai - I order Pad Thai like you order French onion soup.

But I've ordered it so much I decided to switch it up a little. Do you have a good Korean or Thai place around where you live?

Great drunken noodles and Pad Thai. I haven't been to a restaurant in a couple years. I need a job first.

You'll get that job soon enough! Stay positive and don't beat yourself up! PM me if you want, I just took an untimely nap and I'll be awake all night.

Safe to say that I will never even THINK about eating pupu platter… When my brother got married, my father took the wedding party to the Royal Hawaiian in Lafayette (big city to me). I was about six or seven and laughed mightily at the PuPu Platter! It was wonderful. That was really the first restaurant that I can remember. That and a seafood place in Abbeville where everyone was eating dozens of oysters on the half shell.

Hey rizzuto, I was thinking about you today. I found a place in Middlebury, VT that makes one hell of a fried oyster po'boy. Never been to Louisiana, but grew up in Florida where I knew a couple places that made a good one.

I have been disappointed in what passes for poboys in and around Dallas. They just can never get the bread 🥖 right. My sister is a great guinea pig when it come to ordering poboys. Usually, I’ll take a look 👀 at the type of loaf being used for her order, and if it’s too thick or tough looking I’ll order the seafood on a plate with fries.

It was crazy good. She had blackened salmon and it was great.
