How did we get from food to "Life Of Riley"???? Good question. Mea culpa as well. Back to those hot peppers. I'm the one who brought up William Bendix...

Next up..."Our Miss Brooks", with Eve Arden & Richard Crenna. Followed by "Love That Bob" with Robert Cummings, Rosemary DeCamp and Dwayne Hickman. "Hold it. I think you're going to like this picture." Remember Gale Gordon played the Principal Mr. Conklin on "Our Miss Brooks."

Sure, Luke McCoy. Not to be confused with Little Luke. Married to Kate (Kathleen Nolan, later head of the SAG) who he always called Sugarbabe. And of course sister Hassie and Grandpa Amos and their illegal farmworker Pepino who slept in the barn with the chickens. "Senor Grandpa." Golden Age of TV? Hmm, let me think about that. Now "The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis" there was a show.

All right, we can go back but not until I telepathically punch Harold and give a salute to Meredith Baxter. She was so hot that all I can do is hope she was a first class bitch in person so I feel like I dodged a bullet by not latching on to her. Call the horny police if you want. I don’t care. Now back to our regularly scheduled foodie talk…unless something else pops into someone’s head…

Krebs (Bob Denver, later of "Gilligan's Island" fame) and Zelda... Yeah I liked Pepino too. I honestly don't remember the gardener on "Father Knows Best." How I loathed that show. Robert Young and Jane Wyatt as Jim and Margaret Anderson. Their singularly unattractive kids Princess, Bud and Kitten. I do remember the house servant Peter on "Bachelor Father" in which John Forsythe played a swinging bachelor with suspicious motives (or so we imagined) toward his live-in niece Kelly, played by Noreen Corcoran. Very long and inconsequential story, but my great uncle who always had business in LA became friends with Sammee Tong, the guy who played Peter. I thought niece Kelly was fairly cute, not Shelley Fabares dreamy, but a decent backup. And yes, Maynard G. Krebs was a classic character. "Hey Dobe, want to go watch them tear down the old Endicott Building?" Or going to see "The Monster Who Devoured Cleveland." Stephen Franken, who played the insufferable rich kid Chatsworth Osborne Jr. was another great character. Before him, Warren Beatty had a similar role on the show for one year -- I think the character's name was Milton Armitage. And William Schallert, who played Dobie and Maynard's teacher Mr. Pomfritt, later played Patty Duke's father. Tuesday Weld as the unattainable Thalia Meninger. And for sure Sheila James as Zelda Gilroy, always chasing Dobie, although we learned later in life she would have been more interested in Thalia. I have to scoot soon, but I will leave with a parting gift of "Sea Hunt" starring Lloyd Bridges as Mike Nelson.

You can indeed bring your little friend over tonight… we’ll make popcorn and tell stories all night long… 🤓

Not just Tuesdays… 🤓

Looks great! Do you generally have know what you plan to order or do you let the staff guide you when going to these great restraunts?

Looks great! Do you generally have know what you plan to order or do you let the staff guide you when going to these great restraunts? A little bit of both. Sometimes we read reviews beforehand and see what the best dishes are and if we are still confused we ask the staff what they recommend.
