Semi-Random thought:
MLB teams pay the salaries of all of their players, said “Mr. Obvious”.
In addition, we read constantly of the tremendous amount of medical care required to keep players on the field. I assume the teams are paying for that as well. I wonder how much money is being paid out for all of the various medical care. It can’t be small change...Is that money coming out of team coffers? Is every player insured against injury/illness by his team?...

No, not a joke Chi, since I've seen it from multiple sources. Unless they are all in on it.
Stanton has a long history of getting hurt -- this is his tenth season in the majors, and in only three of them has he played in at least 150 games. Hicks has been on the DL in all seven of his seven seasons. It's not like the Yanks don't know these guys are injury-prone when they get them.
Now we have to hope that Clint Frazier, not exactly an iron man himself, can show that he belongs in the major leagues. He will never get a better chance to show his stuff when it is needed. I know the Yanks have Shane Robinson's number, he can be expecting a call any day now.
The Yankees aren't the only team constantly losing outfielders to injury, but they're the only ones I care about.

Luis Severino, Aaron Hicks, Dellin Betances, Didi Gregorius CC Sabathia and NOW Stanton on DL.
Isn’t Ellsbury on the DL too?
WHO'S NEXT PREDICTIONS: Gardner will be next; than Chapman, than Sanchez, etc.

Saw on Twitter it's a left bicep strain. No word on severity. 3 consecutive games and his streak is over. Too much time in the field, I tell ya’!!!

Isn’t Ellsbury on the DL too?
WHO'S NEXT PREDICTIONS: Gardner will be next; than Chapman, than Sanchez, etc. Ellsbury has been on the DL for over a year. And he's almost forgotten by now, but Jordan Montgomery has been on the DL since his Tommy John surgery last summer. Also Ben Heller, if anybody remembers him. And then there's Estevan Florial, who broke his wrist in spring training. Thereby proving he is a True Yankee. Last season the Yanks had 23 different DL stints involving 20 players, and they still won 100 games. So what they are going through now is not all that unusual. Last year, injuries gave Gleyber Torres and Miguel Andujar their chances to show what they can do. Frazier, assuming he stays healthy himself, will never have a better opportunity to establish himself at a key time. If he can't do it, then either Tauchman or Tyler Wade will have to step up. The upside is that the Yankees will have a well-rested team going down the stretch As for predicting who goes down next -- that's hard to do, I just hope the Yanks can get by at least a week or two without another major injury. Not as easy as you might assume. If I had to bet, I would say Frazier himself is next. Bird, Tanaka, and Paxton are probably just matters of time based on their histories, you just hope it's after Severino and CC get back and that it's not season-ending. Hicks has been out since March 1 and hasn't even resumed baseball activities yet, so it hardly seems likely he could be back much before May because he essentially will have to go through some kind of spring training regimen. Lots of OF opportunities for guys down the depth charts.
