Bryce Harper has a .625 OBP after five games. I wonder if Brian Cashman would revise his statement from December that the Yankees had no room for him because they already had too many outfielders.

If he was here, he’d probably have been signed earlier in ST and would have already had time to break multiple bones and suffer all over the body sprains, strains, and automobiles...

Tulo low grade strain of calf. Certainly will be on the IL according to Boone's postgame.

You know, you're probably right Inger. And I know I must be ticked off because I left the TV on the Extra Innings channel the Yankees game was on with the Shark Apex vacuum infomercial playing in the background. Wish I didn't take these losses so hard.

They mentioned earler that Thairo Estrada was the only other IFer left on the 40 man roster. Either they make a trade or Estrada gets a chance he could not possibly have seen coming a week ago.

We are going to need his bat in the lineup the way things are going.

It was also mentioned that Urshela had a great spring, and of course he plays all-world defense at third. But as you said, since he's not on the roster, they would also have to make a deal so they could add him to the roster. I liked Urshela with Cleveland, and he had a decent MiLB bat. He could become a Scotty Brosius type...Just needs a little more bat in MLB...

Quite appropriate. Not quite to the point where the lyrics apply though. I like the lyrics, but few people seem to even be aware of them... Through early morning fog I see Visions of the things to be The pains that are withheld for me I realize and I can see That suicide is painless It brings on many changes And I can take or leave it if I please That game of life is hard to play I'm gonna lose it anyway The losing card I'll someday lay So this is all I have to say Suicide is painless It brings on many changes And I can take or leave it if I please The sword of time will pierce our skin It doesn't hurt when it begins But as it works its way on in The pain grows stronger, watch it grin Suicide is painless It brings on many changes And I can take or leave it if I please

Estrada has started more games at SS in the minors than any other position (168) vs. 90 at 2B and only 50 at 3B for what that info is worth. He’s played in 24 additional games at SS where he either started at another position or entered the game in progress and has appeared in 47 additional games at 2B after either starting at a different position or entering the game in progress.
His fielding stats indicate an apparent ability to play all three positions well. He’s always been a contact hitter with moderate at best power. He’ll take a walk about at the MLB average clip, which supports average to good OBP skills.
Before 2018 he ran well, but wasn’t very good at applying the speed he had to stealing bases 49 SB/ 28 CS IN 6 MiLB seasons. No word on how he runs after taking a bullet to his hip, but he struggled with the bat in the sparse amount of playing time he got last year after the bullet wound got him off to a late start to the season.
His long term profile probably fits that of the utility role he’ll be expected to fill for the Yankees in 2019...

They could have played the theme from The Facts of Life and Edna Garrett could be coming up from AAA to play short.
