Edwin is out 3-5 weeks. It's unknown about Hicks, but he's scheduled to get an MRI. Take notes, Russ. If you don’t, I’m telling the teacher that Chi did your homework for you... Russell is like your kids, Chi. If you don’t buckle down once in a while he can run you to death. Tough love is what he needs. Let’s share the parenting. I’ll do the yelling, you do the spanking... 😂

I saw that when Boone was asked if there was any consideration being given to calling up Frazier, he said "No. No". I don't know if that means just for today because of activating Happ, or if meant it as a longer term idea.

amazing. We lose players swinging the bat, to sliding, to throwing the ball, and sometimes to the old fashioned way of getting hit.
I think we will win the division now. But to have any chance in the play offs we need a lot of these players back,

Hicks joins the IL repeat group of CC, Stanton, Sanchez, Voit and Andujar. Yanks have now had 24 different players make 31 trips to the IL. Last year it was 20 players making 23 trips to the IL.
We didn't know when we had it good.

Seems like possibly good news for Hicks - a strain of the forearm flexor not an elbow ligament tear that would require TJ surgery. Possible they could get him back in a few weeks.

Sad to have to be optimistic that someone will return after getting hurt throwing the ball. How the heck do you get hurt doing that. I don't remember this happening to Yankee teams in the past

I don't remember this happening to Yankee teams in the past Well, I guess I’ll give you a pass on that question, since you’ve never actually thrown a ball, but it does engage a whole lot of body parts, and it’s a sort of unnatural motion that most humans don’t do for their entire young adult lives...Muscles, tendons, hips, legs, shoulder, torque on the elbow... It happens, Russ...
