From Conor Foley on Twitter: Edwin Encarnación is packed up and heading back to New York. Said his RailRiders rehab assignment is over. “I feel good. I feel healthy. I feel 100 percent. Ready to go,” he said. Yes, looks like the Parrot is flying back to NY. Hope he doesn’t nab too many of Ford’s AB, at least until Ford cools off. How fortunate have we been to see yet another Void filled by Ford?...

That is awesome, except for Frazier and Ford.

George Springer had to be carted off after crashing into the outfield wall Tuesday night in Milwaukee. Springer made a great catch on a long line drive off the bat of Ryan Braun, but he stumbled into the wall and hit his head hard against the padding. He got to his feet before the cart reached him, but the All-Star outfielder looked pretty dazed. There should be an update after the game, which was in the sixth inning when Springer left. Kyle Tucker took his place in the lineup.

Important piece for the Astros. Hope he’s okay. I’d prefer to beat or lose to their best rather than see a man badly hurt...

what does that mean for a player who basically missed the whole year? He is not falling down all the time?

When Gio first started hitting I had my doubts like most. When he was maintaining an average I thought he was keeping his body still and sacrificing power to maintain a batting average. Then, he started hitting home runs and I thought it was just a hot streak. Bear in mind that I was one of the few that, having seen him play defense before, was happy to have him as a depth piece and hopeful that somehow he’d find his way on the roster once Andujar went down. A fan if you will. But this? Never saw this coming. No one could have...

I had no expectation that Montgomery would be able to pitch this year at any level.....that slider on the strikeouts was nasty...
