Sale had a SHO through six, but the wind came out of his (Sales) a bit and he gave up the first two runs of the game on that inning as Boston pushed the emaciated pitching star to 108 pitches. Nothing like tempting fate with a pitcher that gave an early season scare... |

Vlad jr.'s first career HR. He didn't have to wait long for his second. He gets tons of attention. The homers came in game 14, I think of his career. He entered the game batting .191. He seems to be quite talented and a dynamic young man. I wish him well, except when he plays vs. the Yankees. But to be kind, I’ll wish him double well against all other AL East opponents, unless his team becomes a powerhouse contender within the division. Then, we’ll find something else to wish for him... |

Did you know that Daddy Vladdy only drew 487 walks in his career that were “unintentional”? He was walked intentionally 250 times for a total of 737 walks. He led his league intentional walks 5 times, including 4 consecutive seasons near the end.
Too bad he had bad wheels at the end, he’s only 44. He might have still been roping line drives all over the field. He never once struck oit more than 95 times in a season, and when he did that, he was only 23 years old...
