Nice job by Judge to beat it down to first, to go from first to third, then score on a sac fly from Torres.

You got me on that one, Inger. Thanks for the word. I am the king of knowing or finding worthless information... There is no such thing as useless information. At least not when it involves either baseball or music.

A gift for Frazier, who was busting it all the way.

Mike Ford goes into the baseball record book. At first I thought he had it.

Yanks fail to take advantage of a leadoff two-base error. Not a menacing bottom of the order.

Strong inning for German. Now let's start hitting this schlemiel Bailey.

I know he’s given up 2 runs, but still loving German’s stuff...His breaking ball is covered with all kinds of gooey stuff, plus maybe some salad oil and some of that stuff that foams and cleans the toilet...

Strong inning for German. Now let's start hitting this schlemiel Bailey. Okay, Carmine! We got him! Shlemiel, schmoggul, or whatever that was...

A guy I knew who understood the nuances of Yiddish once explained to me the subtle differences between a schnook, a schlemiel and a schlamazl. None is a good thing to be, but they have slightly different connotations.

Oh man, another bomb for Kansas City. Oh well, it was 3-1 last night too.

Oh man, another bomb for Kansas City. Oh well, it was 3-1 last night too. Sadly, a little bit of 2018 German emerges tonight. Lots of HR... Get it together, Domingo! You can do this!!!

At work a couple decades ago I said the word “Schmuck” on the company radio. The owner told me he was really surprised to hear me use that kind of language. I had no idea of the Yiddish meaning at that point. I just knew Morey Amsterdam said it almost constantly on the Dick Van Dyke Show, and on there it illustrated someone else’s gullibility or stupidity... I know I tend a wee bit (or more) to the scatologic in my humor, but my use of curse words is extremely limited, in particular in public and professional situations...
