Nice swing by Frazier to drill the high pitch for a base knock...

Oh man, another bomb for Kansas City. Oh well, it was 3-1 last night too. Sadly, a little bit of 2018 German emerges tonight. Lots of HR... Get it together, Domingo! You can do this!!! Only one legit one and one Yankee Stadium special.

Since Pipps brought up the Yankees players named Ford, who would think that the team would have two pitchers named Ford with 25+ win seasons and multiple 20-win seasons. And to boot as a kid, I never dreamed a different guy named Ford would have had more wins in a season (26-6) than the great Chairman of The Board, Whitey Ford? But Russ Ford did all that over 40 years before I was born!!!

Okay, Carmine! We got him! Shlemiel, schmoggul, or whatever that was... A guy I knew who understood the nuances of Yiddish once explained to me the subtle differences between a schnook, a schlemiel and a schlamazl. None is a good thing to be, but they have slightly different connotations. Okay, you’re going to have to enlighten us now.

When I was a kid there were still enough old timers who remembered him and wondered if he was the father of this young punk Whitey.

I think the order I wrote them in was ascending in levels of foolishness, but my friend had very precise definitions which my Goy mind has not retained. I think you have to have been called those things by your father to get it right.

In Yiddish a schmuck translates to a penis, or in the case of my employer at the time, he specified the head of the penis. Like I said, I hadn’t a clue... Is that correct, Pipps?
