Two days without baseball!

I love stratomatic but I never bunt. Hit and run and steal but never bunt. I think a retractable roof would have made sense. Doubleheaders are a bad thing, you split too often. Let me see if I understand. You NEVER bunt. NEVER. So, am I to assume that you feel as though Strat-O-Matic has done a poor job of representing the bunt? Maybe they did. I know that the hit and run representation allows for a .286 batting average. That always seemed a bit odd to me...

Two days without baseball!
Two days without baseball is like two days without...without...I really can’t think of anything that compares. I guess it’s just like two days without baseball. That’s not a good thing...

Just noticed that Hicks isn't in this lineup. Hopefully he starts game 2.

I never bunt inger because I am too lazy to do so...the advanced version of stratomatic is difficult....as in complex. You have to roll to see if a batter gets a jump before you are allowed to steal.

Did Tauchman miss the bus to Scranton? He's the 26th man for the double header.

I never bunt inger because I am too lazy to do so...the advanced version of stratomatic is difficult....as in complex. You have to roll to see if a batter gets a jump before you are allowed to steal. That was a good addition to the game. Before that, anyone with an “A” SB rating could steal about 100 bases. We also used to have a coin on the table that we would have to flip to heads to show that we were holding the runner. If you didn’t flip it, then they already had the lead and could go without the extra roll. There were several other modifications that I created to add to the realism and complicate the strategy. Some of them were incorporated from APBA baseball. We had rules where if you rolled double sixes, the play would stand, but the next batter would be subject to a special play, which might be an ejection, rain delay or injury for instance. We once had to make a judgement call on an injury that occurred to Cal Ripken, JR. We decided that he could stay in the game...
