This team wins despite their manager. What a buffoon.
“Duh, I figgered we had to get Romie a home run, and Gleyber, he’s so tired of hitting them why not give somebody else a chance to hit a couple, duh-huh-duh-huh-a-huck”...

I hope Tanaka is sharp today, because Bundy seems to be getting his act together. His last three starts he’s allowed 3 runs on 10 hits in 18 innings.
In 2018, he fell apart, but when he’s right he’s got nice movement on the 92-94 MPH 4-seamer, a nasty change up, a wipe out slider, and can mix in a curve that wound up hanging way too much last season and earlier this season. If he’s not at least maintaining 92 and touching 94, he tends to struggle because the fastball doesn’t move as much.
To think, here’s guy that used to throw 100, he’s had to adjust. None of his four pitches is in the elite category (slider can be some days), but the overall package is still a pretty good pitcher. Be ready for a different game today from the ones we’ve played to run the 3-0 lead up on the series. A doofus play could lose this one. Be tight, be sharp, men. We can sweep this!
I have a conference call in a few minutes and then an appointment, but should be home to see the later part of the game...

Our two hottest hitters benched. BaBoone strikes again. DJLM, Voit, and Estrada are at least boiling under, so maybe they’ll keep hitting and perhaps someone else will join them. Frazier has shown signs of awakening, but given his tendency to guess hit I’m not particularly excited at seeing him in the lineup against a guy with a 4-pitch repertoire. That's only a 25% chance of being correct... Yes, the BaBoone is quite ridiculous. Sanchez was due for a day. I believe the 22-year old Torres could have stretched himself another day say they wouldn’t both be sitting at the same time vs. the O’s best starting pitcher, who has pitched well of late...

Sweeney Murti tweeted Sanchez and Torres are a combined 4-18 with 8 K's lifetime against Bundy.

Our two hottest hitters benched. BaBoone strikes again. I just don't get sitting multiple hot hitters for the same game, but we keep seeing it over and over again.

I don’t mind resting the starting catcher day game after a night game but it is really weird to sit someone who is as locked in as Gleyber is right now.

Amazing he beat that DP given how hard it was hit. Thairo wasn’t all that smooth on that play which is just a matter of experience. Gleyber or Didi make that DP

Also, Tanaka won’t last long in this game if he can’t have a quick inning or two.

Hicks was fooled badly on that hit and then didn’t exactly hustle after the ball. Not his best work.

Brandon Hyde must be a very frustrated man. Imagine the torture of that pitching staff, add in the outfield play, and top it all off with having to look at Chris Davis’ goofy-ass face...
