Great start to the game and hopefully we can get more here in the 2nd. I actually think this is a pretty big game for the Yankees. Starting with Boston tomorrow, the schedule is a lot tougher, so we need to win these series that we’re supposed to win

Voit triples! He looked like a defensive end scooping up a fumble and taking it as far as he can.

Cortes is going to force the Yankees to use a reliever they don't want to use if he doesn't get it together.

Needed that easy 1-2-3 DP.

Another series win -- eight in a row. Time to slap Boston around.

Cameron Maybin is arguably our best base runner.

Cameron Maybin is arguably our best base runner. That guy has been a total pro since he got here. Pretty sweet for a guy we got off the scrap heap. The Yankees are going to have to give out about 50 World Series shares this year.

Another series win -- eight in a row. Time to slap Boston around. We catch a minor break with Moreland going on the injured list. Seems like he causes a lot of problems for the Yanks. Not equivalent to the break Boston gets not having to deal with Judge and Stanton and Didi and Betances and Severino. But it's a little something.

The Yankees are essentially on a pace that would equal Boston's record of last year. Would they really have a much better record if everyone had been healthy from day one?
I'm not saying they are better without the regulars, just that it's hard to imagine they would be significantly better up to this point with them in there.

I missed the game. How did Paxton look?

Holder gets the win instead of Green. Nice to have Paxton back!
