Balls like the one Torres hit there are why I say Bogaerts is only average at SS. He wasn’t even close to touching that ball...He just never seems to make the unbelievable play. He’s fine on the pivot and the routine grounder, but his lack of range screams “I’m not a real SS”... His bank account says otherwise... |

Cal Ripken was a 3B that got to play SS by the time he was 30. Jeter was a 2B that was allowed to stay at SS. Ernie Banks was never a real SS...So this is nothing really new to the game... |

If either were BAD shortstops, they would have been moved quickly. Think Eduardo Nunez. |
